Why is it that hard core fans of shows seem to think everything is crap? What I'm getting at is we love MST3K, but we hate equally good shows like Friends. I've never heard so much hate for shows, movies, politicians, and even free speece advocators (paging Michael Moore). I think MST3K has brought the hate out of all of us and you think as an individual, that every show sucks. I don't think the basis of MST3K is to hate but to laugh, not at the unfortunate, but just laugh.
I am BobJohnson and I am proud to be a true television fan, won't someone join me. We love a TV show, but suddenly everthing else isn't funny?

Friends
CSI
Law and Order
NYPD Blue
Mr. Show
Chappelle's Show
South Park
Mad TV
SNL
Reno 911
Enterprise
Buffy
and many more...

What I'm getting at is we love MST3K, but we hate equally good shows like Friends. That is a matter of opinion. Which you are entitled to have. Oh, and I like Reno 911! and occasionally tune in to Chappelle's Show. But as for the rest of TV's current line-up. Yuk. |

I watch a lot of television shows. Forrest, you are way too grumpy about everything. Get a sattelite dish and watch BBC America.

Three Stooges (Shemp and Curly not the Joes) To be honest, the Three Stooges aren't actually a television show, but theatrical shorts. They made a pilot for a TV series (during the Shemp years, I have it on tape and it's pretty hillarious) but it was never picked up. I have to agree with everyone who flinched when you called Friends as good as MST3K. I tolorate Friends, however. Mostly because of Matt LeBlanc (I just can't hate this guy! He rocks!). When it comes to television, I usually watch just comedy and Sci-Fi. My favorites from each are: ComedyMystery Science Theater 3000 (well DUH!) Whose Line Is It Anyway? (both US and UK) The Simpsons Get Smart MXC Three's Company Sci-FiStar Trek: Enterprise Star Trek: The Next Generation Quantum Leap Sliders Star Trek: Deep Space Nine The Incredible Hulk |

First of all, Friends can be eaten by Killer Shrews (just watched it, funny).
Favorite shows:
SGC2C, MPFC, WLIIA?, ATHF, MXC, Seinfeld, Simpsons, Jeopardy, a few reality shows (basically it's a fascination of mine to anticipate who get's booted next, and that's it), Chappelle's Show, KITH, and tons and tons and tons of anime, I own a bunch of DVDs, oh and MNF.
Never really got into CSI though.

I don't really hate television, rather the majority of the popular shows on TV. Here's a list of shows that I used to watch on TV:
- Ren and Stimpy
- Beavis and Butthead
- Farscape
- Red Dwarf
- Monty Python
- The X-Files
- The Red Green Show
- Brimstone (I think that's the name)
- Chef
There are some more, but i've gotta remember them. Give me time...
Point being, I don't really HATE TV, it's more along the lines of all comedy shows pale in comparison to MST3K.
