War. Sure, we all know and love it. Hell, as Americans, it's built into our psyche. That's why we've been involved in so many wars and conflicts throughout our short history. So, in the interest of observation, I just want to know what the most interesting war, in history, involving America? Do you enjoy the colonial skirmishes of the Revolutionary War? Or, are you more the Gettysburg, Civil War type? Or, hey, maybe you like killing Nazis and dig WWII? Just vote and give a reason. I'm going with the Civil War. There's more history to be found considering it involved only Americans. And, I like arguing with people about the reasons for it. And, to those who haven't figured this out yet, IT WASN'T SLAVERY!!!! Argue with me! Have fun! Be merry!
VOTE!!!!
Servo
NOTE: Before any of you say anything, yes, Vietnam is not there. Why? It was never officially a war. It was a conflict. And don't give me that crap about "Well, tell that to the people who died". To you I say, eat me! I respect everyone who served and died there, but, in the interest of being technically correct, it wasn't a war.

I voted for WWII because it's the most important. It founded the United Nations, which eventually is gonna be the one world govt, controlled by the New World Order. I don't like them, their intentions...they shouldn't be allowed to govern anyone! If you wanna check out some of the stuff they are doing and planning, check out: www.infowars.com/

I voted for The Civil War.Tecnology was so limited back then.It was all based on strategy without the use of radar, bombs etc.
I cant argue with you Servo.I'm pretty sure it started over economic reasons....right?

You are correct sir. But, we can go into a history lesson later on. I just want to get everyone's opinion. I like studying the Civil War for the reasons you stated. But, in contrast, that was the reason it was so bloody and horrific. It is fun to study though, Servo

Being part of the south, Tom, are you gonna do it again?
Favorite war, huh? I would say WWII is the third most profound and important event (not saying good or bad just profound-like) in the history of history. It was (to me) an operatic splendor of brutality and evolution. EVERYthing we have now is somewhat thanks to WWII. Hitler was the most outrageous, powerful and world changing persons in the previous 2000 years. He is the quintessential villain and in time this will become the greatest story ever told (George Lucas noticed this with the relation between WWII and Star Wars). Our views and the worlds views are changed from it and therefore the nature of man is changed from it, especially our technology which will inevitably destroy the world we know today. Give it 50 years or so.
Other than that, war stinks!

I always liked the Revolutionary War, I find it still profoundly shapes american culture today. And i know the Civil war wasn't over slavery, i haven't studied it in a while but if i recall it had to do with the fact that South Carolina and another state said they would succeed if a democratic president was elected. So when Lincoln was, and the other state chickend out and South Carolina went and did so, and other states started following them, so the Civil war was mainly to gain back the other states and the end of slavery ended up as a bonus.

Oh, I'm a patriot, I didn't want the southern states secede, which is the word to describe breaking away from the Union. I was just poking fun at how you used succeed instead of secede, that's all. ;D
