So I finish eating my delicious birthday Chinese dinner and was heading out to see "Man On Fire".
But there are cops and road blocks and I can't even get out of the restraunts parking lot. WTH? Then it hits me, the Presidents in town.
Not remembering that my windows rolled down I shout "F'n Bush, you're making me miss my birthday movie", and the people on the sidewalk start laughing with joy.
It's a good thig I didn't say "...I outta kick his ass" or some such thing.
So hows that, how many of you have had a President spoil your Birthday plans?
But I get the last laugh Mr. President, I just went and rented the new Godzilla DVDs and the first season of "The Office" (which I've never seen but heard was great) PLUS, I'm sitting here wiha huge bowl of Cookie Dough Ice Cream. Ha, Ha!!
So, I will have fun despite your efforts!

Why thank you, I knew I could count on you guys.
BTW, the Godzilla's were a helluva of of fun. But is there any continuity in these things anymore?
In the first they seem tied to the past history. The second they tie in only to the first movie and talk about how they haven't had to worry about 'Zilla in 50 years. In the 3'rd they seem to have started over again with the premise that they havn't spotted 'Zilla in 45 years!
Do the Japaese have short term memory or what?

So MJ, what's your verdict on The Office? I have been catching it regularly on my DVR and find it quite hilarious.
What are your opinions on this show?
Also, ever see something called Trailer Park Boys? I recently stumbled across TPB and believe it is one of the single funniest shows ever shot at a trailer park in Canada.
Seriously, I think I'll start a thread to see who has heard of this show,(TPB) but feel free to reply here on The Office, MJ.

Forrest: thanks, I enjoyed them but I think I'd preferr some continuity. Like the one's in the 80's-90's(?) with the psychic girl and a cast of regulars.
Lemmy: I loved the Office! It lived up to the hype and I can't wait to rent season 2.
Well, I'm going to run off and actually see "Man on Fire" tonight. I think it'll be safe, it's past the Presidents bed time.
Later.

LOL, at least he's not full of turtle meat.
I liked the new ones because I can actually watch them. They're more dramatic, Godzilla's a real bad ass and not some cartoon clown. The one with Destroya was actually cool.
I can't sit through the old ones. I loved them when I was 8 but they're just too goofy for me today. If not for MST I'd never watch them again. The new one's are slicker.
PLUS, they got rid of the boys in tiny shorts and replaced them with attractive but tough young women! A vast improvment.
