I would imagine this one will get some press, “MST3K to riff the worst movie ever!!!”
Even though WE know they’ve already rigged the works of Coleman Francis.

Mike is still credited on every release, and Bill writes on a lot of them. But I think Kevin only writes on live shows anymore. Shout just sent out an email about the campaign. We’ll see if that moves the needle. Not every release. example: www.rifftrax.com/fatal-combatInteresting.

Re to old cast as writers-- We know Frank and Trace still write as they are all of The Mads, but I'm fairly certain none of the RiffTrax guys write anymore. For a long time RiffTrax has had other writers, and more recently they've started crediting them on the riffs (probably should have been doing that from the beginning). And, Kevin's and Bill's names are never in the credits anymore. I think Bill has stated that he works on other stuff like his stage plays. As I've said elsewhere, I think Kevin might just enjoy the performances more than writing. Mike's name is still there, but it always says something like Head Writer and I wonder if he's actually writing any of the raw jokes or is more in an editor type role now. Or another way to say it--I'm not sure any of them actually sit down and watch the movie and come up with riffs for it anymore. (*I do still think they write on the Live Riff Events)Mike is still credited on every release, and Bill writes on a lot of them. But I think Kevin only writes on live shows anymore. Shout just sent out an email about the campaign. We’ll see if that moves the needle.

Yeah guys trying to fit everyone back in their costumes, only to have them looking old and tired, isn't going to make the show better. Now having them back as writers on the other hand might. Or they were never real. Like how I didn't see any perks correlate to the pledges. Maybe it was just another glitch in this sh*tshow campaign. There were people who backed out of the high-dollar pledges, as well as people who backed out on all levels, in the previous campaigns. They are just getting them all at once now that the cancellation option is open, so its rather dramatic. Quite frankly, there's not much reason to cancel, unless of course your finances have suddenly changed, since the goal obviously is not going to be met, unless these people dont know how these fundraising campaigns work. Tom’s original slinky arms were back in season 13.

I do think Joel set up the ends or seasons 12 and 13 for the possibility of bringing Frank and Dr. Forrester back. Dr. Erhardt stealing their bodies to take them to a mysterious planet had shades of the end of Wrath of Kahn, setting up a resurrection. Having everyone go to 1991 also makes their return possible.
But I think there would have to be a lot of work to get Trace to return. I think Frank would be fine with returning, but won’t do it without Trace.

I just rewatched the ending of The Christmas Dragon (I dig this episode) Here is the ludicrious copium scenario... at the end Joel, Emily, and Jonah, and Pearl go back in time to 1991 (earth). that is when Dr. F/Trace's Crow and Frank were on the show (season 3). Trace and Frank come back, campaign saved, and Joel looks like a genius once again. If that isn't the plan I hope someone forwards this to Joel and Co and they GET ON IT RIGHT AWAY. It's their only hope. If that was the case, I assume Joel would have blasted the news out as soon as possible. I’d love to see it happen, but I doubt it will.

Tim Ryder posted that he's a part of tomorrow's live stream. So Tim Servo seems to be back on board at least.

I do like that shirt design. I'd be up for adding on a blacklight poster version of that.
Of course, at this point saying I would add anything seems mostly academic.

It's tougher to track on Instagram, since people often post things to reels, which delete after 24 hours or so. Patton and Connor have reposted the official video with Matt. I thought I had seen Kelsey do the same, but it may have been more than 24 hours ago, so would be gone.
Baron doesn't seem to have instaed (is that a word?) since mid October. Hampton hasn't post anything since Nov. 2. Emily is pretty active, but nothing MST3K related since September (unless she posted a reel that has deleted). Mary Jo hasn't posted anything, but she mostly seems to use Insta for pictures of her dog and stuff she sees on walks. Yvonne hasn't posted anything for over a year. Joel seems to have an account, but with only 146 followers and no posts (several cast members follow it, which makes me think it's real).
Matt has posted the Showrunner video to his reels. Ivan hasn't posted anything in more than a year. Tim's Instagram is just a long form comedy bit about how he doesn't know how to use the camera on his phone. Rebecca hasn't posted anything since the strike ended.

Looking through cast members:
Conor McGiffin hasn't posted on Twitter since December, 2021. Jonah Ray has deleted his account. Emily Marsh seems to post every few weeks. She hasn't posted something MST3K related since September. Felicia Day is still active. Patton Oswalt is still active. Mary Jo Pehl has deleted her account. Hampton Yount is active and retweeted the Showmaker link on Nov. 8. Baron Vaughn has an account, but hasn't posted anything since mid-October. Yvonne Freese hasn't posted on Twitter since Sept. 2022. Joel hasn't posted on Twitter since October of 2021. Kelsey Ann Brady hasn't posted on Twitter since April Matt McGinnis has deleted his account Ivan Askwith (if he's even involved anymore) hasn't tweeted since May.
So not much tweeting about the campaign, but Felicia, Patton, Baron, Hampton, and Emily are the only ones really using it anymore. Of those, only Felicia and Patton have a significant amount of followers.
Twitter is dead.
EDIT: I forgot about Tim and Rebecca Tim has been tweeting about MST3K regularly since the strike ended. Rebecca last new tweet was about the strike ending. The MST3K account has tweeted about the campaign regularly.

Grant also donated to season 13, and I interviewed Tim and Rebecca during the season 13 campaign, and they had also donated as well. They're paying to work? Really? I hope Joel is anonymously donating as well. When I asked Tim and Rebecca why they donated, they said they did it for merch. I've worked for non-profits and donated money to them, even though that money was coming from money the non-profit gave me. Similarly, I get paid to do local theater stuff, but also donate to the organizations that pay me.
