Udvarnoky, If you refuse to buy their DVD's for the reason that it's crap, then it won't "stop" DVD production. Rather, it would only prove to Rhino that making crap doesn't cut it. Totally agreed, but that's not what I'm reading. Instead I'm reading that owning fan copies is the sole or main reason some people aren't buying sets. I still don't know why in the world you think people should waste their money on cars when they could just steal them... or at least buy stolen vehicles. I just don't. BECAUSE IT'S AGAINST THE LAWYeah, stealing a car and getting illegal DVDs of a television show are the exact same thing. No, they're not. But that's hardly an excuse to steal them. I guess I'm saying we never should have bought the fan copies in the first place if we didn't fully intend to get the real ones later. Say who? You're not god. Oh man, you blew me out of the water with that one. As for my tape trading comment, I don't see what you're trying to prove with the spreading the show thing. Everyone knows that's why they did it originally, but it became a different scenario once the official releases started being made. Yes, tape traders do what they do to spread the show, but in addition they encourage people to buy the episodes once they're sold. Ah, the classical I have no logical repsonse so I'll just use a smily to try and save face. Oh, sorry, I assumed you had the sense to realize why I didn't respond to that but I'm met with disappointment. Trace isn't part of BBI anymore. Buying DVDs would never affect him. Heck, it probably wouldn't affect any of the people who worked on the show except for the few people who keep the company alive. And anyway, no one's buying DVDs to keep the former actors from starving to death. You may not even like anyone who works at BBI right now. But they own MST3K, and they should get some of the money from DVD sales. Legally. If you only want to see it in terms of them being poor or something, write them a check. I'm sure none of the people getting money from the sales are bums on the street. But that's not the point, is it.

The most i've ever had to pay for a new volume was 40, the least was 10 dollars. With extras (like the much loved interview) or uncut sides it's only icing on the already great cake. Glad that Monster A Go-Go is finally being released, this will finally have a larger projection to the masses to see that it is worse than Manos. You paid $10 for a four disc box set? I can't even find a single disc for that much. $60 is the standard fare at Suncoast and Sam Goody. I would NEVER buy a box set of anything from Suncoast. I find them to be ridiculously overpriced on everything. The only thing they are good for is movie memoribilia as far as I'm concerned. Suncoast was the place I got all of the single MST3K ep's which I should have just gotten online. That was before I found the wonder that is DeepDiscountDVD.com. $35.88 per volume, FREE fast shipping, what more could you ask for? Sorry I got a little off topic there, Suncoast just pisses me off with their outrageous prices for DVD's and since you mentioned them I had to rant!

No, it's not. They're the legal holders! Who are you to decide who "deserves" the money? I'm not saying anyone has to like that, but don't give me this "Well it's not going to the original artists so who cares" BS. Like I said, if you care so much about Trace or Mike or Joel or whoever, write them a check. It's illegal, period. Not saying it's completely fair, or that people aren't getting screwed or that companies aren't corrupt yadda yadda. It's still illegal. So admit that and say that you're doing it anyway, don't come up with some half-assed defense.
...So, yeah. How 'bout dat Volume 8?

So admit that and say that you're doing it anyway, don't come up with some half-assed defense. I don't have to admit crap you overbearing ass. I'm not obligated to buy ****. Yeah, I know buying copies of unreleased MST3K episodes are still illegal. I'm not retarded. This arguement is so insanely ridiculous that I have to buy the DVDs of the Rhino just because I already have bootleg copies. This doesn't happen in the wrestling tape trading community and it shouldn't happen here. We're the consumer, we decide who what we buy and what we don't. Again, yeah, I know I shouldn't feed the trolls.

I don't recall making you do anything, but then, maybe I'm more powerful than I thought!

Bullpoopie. I saw your post about why you think the way you do and responded by explaining why I think the way I do. Nobody's making anybody do anything. We're having an argument.

That 10 dollar one was a real good one it was Volume 6, the great mis-price for 15.00 and they even had it on sale for 10 dollars for a week. I wonder if the regular price will now be 35.00 for volumes as vol.7 was. I saw The Crawling Hand episode at my local fry's for 10 dollars.

If anybody thinks I'm going to buy episodes, I already own, they are crazy.
I'm glad Rhino keeps making these DVD's so people can't finally see them and own them. But that's them. I'm not going to throw my money to buy 4 dvds of episodes I already own. Especially when they have no extra's.
