(BTw, UD, just ribbin' ya a little. Although I would like to see more non-Rhino posts) I'll try not to let you down. I'm really, really hoping we get word on extras like... now. Otherwise I don't think they're gonna happen.

Im looking foward to this as well as upcoming Volumes. I always email Barb with my predictions. I thought Volume 9 (YES I think ahead) will have Final Sacrifice, Puma Man, Werewolf & Riding with Death. Rhino will try to please the fans - these are ones the fans picked as most wanted, Id say they could get the rights to these. I think Beast of Yucca Flats,Santa Claus,Zombie Nightmare,Screaming Skull may have shots down the road in future volumes. I really think Rhino easily could get rights to the Crawling Eye if they wanted to, but I think BBI is reluctant to put out Season 1 titles. I personally would like to see the rest of Season 2 on DVD as that is still my favorite season. A whole volume of Lippert titles from Season 2 would be a major coup for me. I doubt they will get the rights to Godzilla or Gamera titles, I bet Toho would charge a fortune for Godzilla vs Megalon or the Sea Monster. I really want First Spaceship on Venus as my tape is missing a segment

I think they said Season 1 won't be released "because frankly, they're not too good" paraphrased
Toho probably would because they think such a franchise is too good , when it was shot down on those early episodes in a ball of goofyness.

You do have a point about the Godzilla titles, but well, right now Godzilla is still pretty hot on the market with Final Wars, so I dont think they would want a release of one of their goofier titles,BUT it is the 50th anniversary of the Big G, so you never know. I kinda doubt though Season 1 - An on & off rumor says that Rhino will put the whole set of Season 1 in a box set. They may not be too good, but at the same time, this is the fans show, and mst3k has been good to the fans. And they werent that bad ,anyway, and it is does count as one of their seasons, so, swallow the pride and give the fans what they want, most of Season 1 has public domain titles anyway.

Yeah, it has like 4 Robot episodes, and the complete Commando Serial shorts throughout the whole season.
dsman, you said you like Season 2 the most, go vote in the Best Season poll in the main forum! Season 2 currently has no votes and it unquestionably deserves better.

Well it does have ONE vote ME ! I always liked Season 2, just this 'feeling' when I watch a Season 2 episode. Hard to explain, but I can watch them over & over. When I am sick I watch all the Lippert movies I have on 1 VHS, laugh, eat and take a nap

Yeah i know it's an occurance of shows before they know they're good, when they got 24 episodes for the energetic Season 3 they had a relaxed feeling in Season 2... you know ? wtih riffing just as witty, plus the only Godzilla movies, both, together, on this season.

As a collector, why would anyone pass up on a Volume. It is a great thing to own them all, no matter the episode. Phantom Planet wasnt that bad, the Richard Kiel dog monster was cool(to me anyway) Monster A GoGo was in the top 10 of Rhino's Poll. The movie gives the fans not only a super poor film, but one that the fans wanted Hobgoblins is awful - an uncut version as a bonus would be cool (although Retromedia put it out last yr) The Dead Talk Back, well except for the Jerry Garcia segments, this was pretty much a forgotten episode. 602 OR 604 would have been better. And I can see them both coming out at some point. Beast of Yucca Flats - Id like that one out as well, as my tape print isnt that good either, I think it might wind out up within the next 2 or 3 volumes along with Giant Spider Invasion, Invasion USA,Teenage Strangler, Danger Death Ray,Neptune Men,Giant Gila Monster, Future War,Final Justice,Final Sacrifice,Delta Knights. I think within a couple years these should be on DVD from Rhino

I agree with redgrant of course, as Season 2 was a fun season for me No other season had biker films or Godzilla. OR that many Lippert films. Season 4 had some 'space' scifi, but nothing like Season 2

I think a cool extra would be to have the MST Hour segments for the episodes that were made into the hour show times. I don't think i've see anyone post about this. Hopefully this time Rhino will have the FULL episodes considering it has been a long time and i still have not gotten my Shrews replacement disk.
Hopefully The Final Sacrifice will be on the next set. I would also like to see Riding with Death considering it is one of my favorite episodes.

One of the reviewers there says Monster a Go Go was supposed to be a comment on McCarthy era paranoia, but the film was made in the mid sixties long after McCarthy. Don't see it...(I suspect the only thing Go Go comments on is the directors' own ineptitude).

I think "Go Go" was just an attempt to jazz it up to draw interest from the sixties audience.
