They gotta be shooting for the Christmas season. Big money time. If thats the case it's gotta be announced and ready for pre-orders by September. Well if that's the case they are probably going to put Santa Claus on the set. Which would be a smart move because most fans have wanted that episode for some time. But if they're really smart they will mix the Sci-fi years and Mike & Joel CC years... and make just about everyone happy.

I can find nothing to back up my comment on Gorgo (Though I tried) - I just seem to recall it falling off the radar pretty quick. That could be fuzzy memory because I can't anything that lists final broadcast dates for the Sci-Fi era.
That sounds like a job for Toms Temple though. Hint, hint...

I would love crystal clear KTMAs. But seeing as how they weren't even worthy of making it on the poll I think we must accpt there sad fate.
Too bad too, because when I get a clean new copy on DVD, I find it improves the enjoyment of the episode. Which is why I wouldn't mind something like "Indistructible Man", my tape is so grainy it's probaby not getting a fair shake in my review.

But it's all about the comedy, how could the quality matter?

But it's all about the comedy, how could the quality matter? ;D You have to be a German scientist to understand it. It as something to do with the grainy picture and muted sound blocking the 'Hinder 90'. "Ja, Ja, Strume und drang!"

I agree...the volumes are either Mike heavy or Joel heavy. I'd like it to be more evenly distributed between the two. I have yet to see any season 7 eps. I hope they get around to releasing Laserblast and Melting Man...I caught both on the tube during late-night monster fests in the early 80's and would love to catch the Mystied versions. The Incredible Melting Man is my all-time favorite episode and I would LOVE an official release even though my fan copy is nearly perfect! You have to see this one. Here's a great place to pick up a copy until it is officially released. www.mst3kvideos.com/

There's a reason for no season seven episodes. Since the seventh season was only six episodes they got a bigger budget to buy movies. They got 2 Cormans, 2 AIPs, 1 New Line Cinema, and a Penile Replacemnet Corporation Film.
BTW, for anyone who thinks this is a crack pot theroy. It isn't. Julie Walker posted on RATMM that they would indeed recieve a larger budget for buying movies.

That actually makes a lot of sense, VH.
Has anyone heard a date on when we will find out what's in the damn set?

Good question. Maybe Phantom Planet and Hobgoblins were shoo-ins but they're having more trouble with whatever other episodes they're getting? Dunno, but I like to think that we're not hearing anything because there're spending so much time filming awesome, lengthy, comprehensive interviews and extra material.
Or they just forgot.

I pity the man that owns the rights to Hobgoblins. I wish I did. I'd like to burn the original negative.

Nice! A solid collection of episodes. Now let's just hope they can deliver on extras as well.

Works for me! Two episodes I love that will be nice to have official copies of (Monster-A-Go-Go and Hobgoblins) and two I've never seen before. It comes out on my wife's birthday but MST3K doesn't count as a gift consdering the fact that I love the show too!
