I guess Vol 11 sold great, making Rhino to release vol 12 faster. Just out of curiousity, you basing that on anything or are you just sort of guessing? (I ask because I care if my favorite TV show sells well on DVD, not trying to be insulting

I'm glad someone agrees with me. Now I'll have someone to watch my back so I don't get r---! Yeah but Torgo ate paint chips as a child. None of us take him very seriously around here. Well, yeah, but I dipped them in salsa. So at least give me credit for that.

Wow...what a boring set. Three episodes that are bottom of the barrel for me and one I haven't seen. Could they have picked episodes with movies that were less dull? Ah, it's lucky we all have different tastes. Looks like an absolutely top-drawer box.

I'm kinda sad, because my tape of "Secret Agent" was used for the DAP-DVD a little while ago, and a little bit of my mst3k fame is now gone Still, can't complain, a new set is a new set! Keep them coming, Rhino!

This set is good enough for me. The only one I've seen is Clonus, so there should be a lot of freshness here.

I think the short time gap between Vol. 11 & 12 might be due to Vol. 11 being released 4 months later than originally planned.
Although I'm not a huge fan of the Clonus episode (their riffs weren't up to par, though maybe that lead clone's perpetual frown dragged things down a bit also), this looks like a promising set. I haven't seen Starfighters since 1995 and don't remember ever seeing the other two at all.

I think the short time gap between Vol. 11 & 12 might be due to Vol. 11 being released 4 months later than originally planned. My guess is that it's because 3 or 4 of the movies on V-11 are public domain...which most likely saved Rhino time & money, allowing them to quickly move on to V-12.

It's worth the patience, though. Oh, and by "kill you," I mean it will literally destroy your soul, not that it will kill you with laughter. It's hilarious once you learn to get past the mind-numbing nothingness of the "movie."

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. All four were public domain titles. And on Vol. 12, THE REBEL SET and quite possibly THE STARFIGHTERS are PD too. This set is good enough for me. The only one I've seen is Clonus, so there should be a lot of freshness here. Be patient with Starfighters. It will kill you the first couple of times. It's worth the patience, though. Wow, I seem to be one of the few people who die laughing everytime they watch the episode. The badness of the movie doesn't get to me, that's what Mike & the bots are for. But what was was the deal with that movie? It just seems like an overlong (the movie didn't even need a short!) promo for something.

I thought Starfighters was funny on first viewing, though I've noticed that I have that reaction to a lot of episodes that are considered "growers" by other MST3K fans.

Wow, that is a cool sight you have...... never went there before however, I see it wasting a LOT of my times. I love StarFighters..... what a goofy film. And who cares what the box set cover looks like, you should be using Josh's covers anyway.

Travis, I hated The Starfighters passionately when I first saw it. The movie was like a black hole that sucked out all joy. However, now, it's one of my top five favorite episodes. I think I just needed to become familiar with it and get over it. My sig quote should make that clear.
