As MST3K.com said "The rights have been renegotiated, and The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection: Volume 1 should be back on store shelves soon."
Does this mean Vol 3,9,10, and Hellcats are gonna be back in print?
I'm guessing vol 10 will never happen.

Assuming SIDEHACKERS was the reason why Vol 3 was going out of print, then yes on that. Hopefully they also renewed the rights to HELLCATS.
I'm not sure about WILD REBELS, it may have been one of the other episodes on Vol 9 that caused that set to go out of print. Vol 10 is up in the air as far as I know.

I wonder if the cover will be simplified as the newer editions of vol 2 have been.

Any update from any sources on volume 1? My collection won't be complete til I round up a copy of volumes 1 and 9, so I've been excited about volume 1 coming back.

So nobody has heard anything new about set 1? Is there some kind of precedent out there w/Rhino or whoever that it takes a while to get a set back up and running, or do any of you get the feeling that it might not be put out again?

Although, admittedly, we still don't know exactly why the set was pulled. In all likelihood, we'll probably see the "legal" episodes rereleased in some form in the future, sans the offending episode/special features.

Yeah, we'll likely see Vol. 10 return in the future (Sans Godzilla vs. Megalon ). I'd really like to know what is taking them so long to work out Vol. 1, Vol. 3, Vol. 9 and 10.
For anyone interested, Nina's Discount Oldies is selling copies of Vol. 1, 3 and 9 for $49.95 or so. I got their newest catalog today, and they were listed (not sure how many they have left though, so order soon!).

The only place I saw them listed said -SOLD OUT- toward the bottom. Vols 1,3, & 9.
