On Volume 7 there are some extra shorts, Assignment Venezuela which was never featured on the show, and the ones from the Sci-fi era. All were put on the Shrews disc instead of spreading them about and as such Rhino cut some of the episode, the opening voice-over of the film with riffs by the SOL crew. After an uproar Rhino promised to replace the discs with the uncut episode but it took ages for them to come out. I think mines was six months, and post wasn't to blame! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think it had anything to do with the shorts. I bought the set after it had been corrected, and the shorts were still on the same disc. I think it was just a simple, inexplicable cock-up, on Rhino's part. I think that was the excuse being rolled out as to why they cut the episode, to do with compression and picture quality or something, of course it was ridiculous anyway because it was about a minute cut and the replacement disc was the same quality! As you said more than likely just a cock-up!

Well seeing how Joel, Trace, AND Josh are doing this little extra for Gila, could this mean maybe Vol 13 could have some season one episode(s) and have the guys doing some kind of intro/extra? That would be incredibly awesome. Think about it, have like 2 season 1 movies with all three doing intro, then one movie for the Joel era and have Joel and Trace do that intro, and last have one Mike era with Trace doing the intro!

Rhino already has The Slime People under their distribution arm. Plus Mad Monster is public domain, and it's highly likely that the version of The Corpse Vanishes is as well. Wonder if they'll do some sort of theme for thirteen.

I doubt Rhino would include more than one Season 1 episode in a volume but it would be nice to get another S1 title... since all we have so far is the so-so CRAWLING HAND and the excellent but out of print WOMEN OF THE PREHISTORIC PLANET.

Yeah, but the options are open at least. Hopefully they'll do something with season one. Especially since they've had Slime People all this time, and now they might as well print it on MST since they don't seem to be doing other DVDs anymore, and they could throw on the uncut version.

Well, I just sent Dr. Rhino an e-mail and they ignored me. P'raps they take weekends off... More likely, they're getting more complaints than they'd bargained for, and they're (hopefully) discussing whether or not to do something about it.

Since obviously there are a lot of Season 1 eps that are available, hey should offer those on their website for the hardcore fans. They could be only available on the website for a limited time or whatever, this way we are happy and they can make a profit.

They couldn't offer 108, because I think Medallion TV (same as Wild World of Batwoman and The Crawling Hand) either owns it, or at least the TV and DVD rights. Rhino licencened them from Medallion. I have said time and time again, they should offer one of those season one episodes. I think they should also give out some public domain episodes on box sets, to intice people to buy the whole box set or something of the like.

It seemed ridiculous to me at the time that Rhino didn't know the deal about how strict Toho can be regarding Godzilla and anything related. All you have to do is do a simple google search to know that they're very protective of their "big" star and do not allow anything out without their express involvement. I always wondered if Rhino didn't do this on purpose.
