Mrs. Atari and I went and saw this over the weekend.
On paper, it looks like your standard after-school special or Lifetime crap.
We went because we're huge Arrested Development fans, and it looked like that kind of humor; not to mention the chance to see Jason Bateman and Michael Cera in another project together.
I have to say it was incredible. Every actor was great, the script was hilarious, and the emotion wasn't over-the-top. It had an "indie film" vibe to it, but it had more depth than most of that genre's drivel. It felt a lot like a Wes Anderson movie. In fact, I'd say Juno is basically Rushmore for women.
I highly recommend it for anyone looking for something different, engrossing, and affecting in a movie.
My only criticism is that it almost felt TOO much like a Wes Anderson film. Both with the "chapters" editing device and the annoyingly ostentatious quirky music.

I’ve only heard good things about this move. It might be one of the few non horror/sci-fi movies I drag my wife out to see.

I plan to see it this week. I love Thank You For Smoking and Arrested Development, so I hope to see these teams work great.

I'm actually not an Arrested Development fan, surprisingly, but I still like the cast on this one. I saw an extended trailer for it, the other day. It looks like good, sweet, amusing movie. Michael Cera is an instantly likable guy, and JK Simmons and Jason Bateman are always good. Can't wait to see it.

Hmm well there's mixed messages there from Mr. A - I really hated Arrested Development, but I really love Wes Anderson. I've not seen much at all about this film other than some banner ads. I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks

The one theater that shows art or indy films is going to start showing it on Friday, yay! Nothing around me is showing it, nor Sweeny Todd or Atonment for that matter. It sucks that I have to drive out of my way to see things I want to see.

It was the fifth-highest grossing movie of the weekend. It must be showing somewhere.

What possible reason is there to hate Arrested Development? Its MST3K turned into a sitcom..

What possible reason is there to hate Arrested Development? Its MST3K turned into a sitcom.. It didn't make laugh. Period. It's not like MST3K at all and really, don't mean to be short but we've already got into one heated debate here about this show once. I don't want to get into another. So, I hated it. Not funny, that's all there is too it and we can now move on and respect our diiferences of opinion.

Whoah buddy, lay off the speed and diet pills, or the steroids, or whatever is causing your alarmingly disproportioned shortness of temper and vitriolic response. Wait? Is this Mighty Jack using another account? ...N/M, its not relevant. Since I generally don't enjoy being verbally attacked (especially for mentioning my affinity to a TV show), I think I should poke into your volatile yet quirky beehive of a noggin for some info (let's hope I don't get stung): How much of said show have you seen?

There was nothing volatile about my response, I didn't attack or insult you did I? If I insulted you in some way, I'm sorry. But I've grown tired of the "how dare you not like this, how can you "possibly" hate it"" attitude I get if I mention I don't care for the show. I don't want to discuss it anymore, is that okay with you? Or will that be construed as a attack as well? I'm teasing... Here's a smilie so that you can see I'm not blowing my lid.

I'm just pissed off because this isn't a documentary on the capital of Alaska. What a ripoff!
I also hate Arrested Development, Wes Anderson, Torgo, and MST3K!
