The ones that got away upset me the most. The great bands always went to Seattle (3 hours away) and I never could get my parents to take me.
Paul McCartney, I missed Paul McCartney!!
I had a second chance when he did his tour a few years back. But scalpers grabbed 'em all up in seconds and the brokers were charging astronomical prices.

...And, finally, for those of you that have seen the Butthole Surfers, my jealousy is immense. I've seen them twice! ;D

I might hit Kill Hannah in a few weeks. It's been so long and I've almost gotten turned off concerts. I love the music but the kids piss me off.
Highlight show of all time was Ozzy with Biohazard, Sepultura, and Danzig about 10 years ago (damn, I'm old). I got up to the rail and was getting the old crush. Ozzy came out with one of the buckets of water to toss into the crowd, and looked down at me. And SMILED! And instead of tossing it all over the crowd, he dumped it just onto MY head. I felt like I got blessed by the Holy Father.
My concert list is all over the map, although I did have the distinction of seeing Pearl Jam when they were still Mookie Blaylock. Have seen the Butthole Surfers too.

I haven't any on the horizon at the moment, but I really enjoyed Lollapalooza '96 (anyone care to complain about the weather for that )

I hate 95% of local music, regardless of where I've lived, so you'll never catch me doing that anymore. When I was a teenager and involved with my church's youth group, I saw a number of Christian rock concerts, and one festival, though those generally weren't as lame as their stigma suggests. Switchfoot and Relient K, several times for each.
My proudest moments, however, are a Pixies concert in '04 and seeing U2 in Dublin during the summer of 2005. Crappy seats for both, but they were both excellent shows by two of the all-time greats.

I've only ever been to one concert. Weird Al's 'Running With Scissors' tour in ...2000? Maybe. I got front row, right off-center. My mother and my best friend went (come on... concerts are a big to-do when you live in the middle of nowhere!), and during 'One More Minute,' my mother reached into her bag to get more film for her camera, Weird Al noticed my mother not paying attention, so he started singing directly to her, with her not knowing. I nudged my mother several times, and she suddenly jerked her head toward me and gave me an irritated "WHAT?!?," at which point I pointed at Al, and she realized what I was indicating, buried her head in her hands in embarrassment, and Al then came down from the stage, still singing, and sat on my mother's lap. Singing the while, he placed one of his many silk scarves on my mother, she played along and fake-swooned, and Al then chuckled a little, got up, and continued to walk through the audience and sing. It was awesome.
My mother says that Al is really light too.

Cool. Our show was on Halloween, and wasn't listed on his concert list. So, since it was a Halloween show, he wore all different costumes with his songs. He had his Dare to Be Stupid costume on for Like a Surgeon, he had his Fat costume on for Smells Like Nirvana, and I really can't think of a lot of them.
He actually slipped on the water from Smells Like Nirvana and kept singing. But you could tell he wasn't lip-synching. Thank heavens he was wearing the Fat suit though, it cushioned his fall.

My very first concert was Neil Diamond. I went with my mom when I was 12. I thought it was amazing.
There's a place in Dallas called Trees where I saw a bunch of great shows. Mogwai, The Grifters, probably the best was when I saw Dead Milkmen right before they called it quits. Great show with a bunch of aging hipsters like myself crammed in and drunk. Best concert vibe ever. Otherwise, most of my concert going reads like a list of cliched early 90's stuff: The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, Dinosaur Jr. (who are awesome, by the way), Siouxsie and the Banshees, Lollapaloozas, and Dallas had a good little Lollapalooza rip-off called Edge Fest that actually pulled some good people.

We had an Edge Fest too. One year I saw 311 and the Violent Femmes for headliners. Another year it was Iggy Pop-that was the same show I first saw Reverend Horton Heat and the Bloodhound Gang too. Killer frickin' show.
We had this place in Omaha called the Ranch Bowl-big bowling alley with a snookers hall, outdoor sand volleyball, and two bars slapped onto it. It's insane the bands I saw there-Mookie Blaylock, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Fishbone, to name a bare few. The Biohazard show was the best-the sound kept cutting out, but everybody was so into it we just sang along anyway.
First show? Technically 311, though I don't really count it. First REAL show was Def Leppard (Adrenalize tour).

I'm going to see Morrissey in mid-July, and I can't wait. I've been a huge Smiths fan since the mid-80's, and I love LOVE LOVE Morrissey (I mean creepy stalker love). I never got to see the Smiths live, so this will be a big deal for me. YAY!!!
"Did I mention that I cried?"
