I'm going to go see Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin next Saturday in vegas. And there's a couple shows in August i'll end up going to, not sure which ones though.

Last concert I went to was Ben Folds and it was a good time to be had by all. Some of the more memorable concerts I've been to:
The Rolling Stones: We were in the nosebleeds, but just above the massive stage ('02 during the Forty Licks tour) and when they did "Sympathy for the Devil" flames shot up so high that it about singed our nose hair. They turned down the lights and did a set from Let it Bleed and then did an acoustic set which included killer versions of "Respectable" and "When the Whip Comes Down". It was all worth it just for the extended "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" and a bizarro cover of "Love Train" with Mick dressed up as a pimp.
Iggy Pop: I made my way front and center and Iggy screamed in my face and dripped sweat all over my glasses. Then at the end of the show the guitar player held out his guitar and I got to play it.
The Cramps: I've seen 'em twice and they're awesome. Lux Interior got down to just a leather banana hammock and fellated the microphone. Then he kicked the mic stand which spiraled out into the crowd and I CAUGHT it. He motioned for me to throw it back and I hurled it javelin style onto the stage and he caught it. He rewarded me by screaming the next song in my face. I also swiped their set list after they left the stage too and is a treasured memento.
Blondie: I met the band's website designer front row center and he invited me backstage to meet the band, but unfortunately Debbie Harry had her own seperate dressing room which we weren't allowed to enter, but I got to meet Chris Stein and he gave me an autograph and we shot the sh*t for like five minutes.
The Misfits: This was after Michael Graves left so Jerry Only sang. Weird. But he did a good job and sang everything CHRONOLOGICALLY which for an anal retentive fan like me is nothing short of bliss. After the show, Only stayed for over an hour signing autographs and I got his and Marky Ramone's (who was drumming for them) autographs.
The Hives: Best Concert Period. Howlin' Pele Almqvist is a madman. I was front row center (again) and he stood on my shoulders while doing a number. Brilliant.

I've only seen them once, maybe a year or two ago, and they were SO awesome. I love how Lux can still work the skin-tight red leather catsuit like nobody's business, even though he's gotta be pushing sixty. They're so sleazy you just gotta love 'em.

But the proverbial icing on the cake is I just found out Ween will be here Oct 23. I cannot express (on a "family board" anyway) the level of excitement I am feeling right now. Rocktober is coming!!! I saw the Butthole Surfers at Cat's Cradle (a small club) years ago. It was really wild. When they set the cymbals on fire with lighter fluid I thought they would burn the place down. Great show. Oh to be young again... Oh my God... do you know how jealous I am of you!? I bet that was one hell of a trippin' time.

So I bought my Ryan Adams tickets right at 10 am today when they went on sale, and I got seats in the 20th row. WTF?! Damn pre-sale tickets. That's the only thing I can think happened.

There are always people with inside connections who scoop up many of the best seats. A lot of them are gone before they go on sale to us common folk.

I'm, most likely, seeing the Subhumans next week.
Then I get to see Leftover Crack this October!

I've been to a pearl jam and smashing pumpkins concert.
I really want to go to see Tiger Army, SOAD, Everclear, seether, manson, and ICP in concert. I already missed ICP in OKC earlier this year. I had to work
Oh yeah and NIN, and ozzfest would be sweet.

My all time most amazing concert experience was Muse at Kent State a couple years back. I still get goosebumps, amazing.
David Bowie in Cleveland on his birthday a few years back was also extremely amazing.

Been a good year for me. I saw The Stooges earlier this year. Yeah, Iggy is old but boy can that band still deliver. And Sept. 27th I'll be seeing Pere Ubu in Chicago.
