Today I had myself a little Jack Nicholson film festival. I watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, A few Good Men, and About Schmidt. These three are my favorite movies, and Nicholson is my favorite actor. Most people brand him for only playing the same character, which is a big stereotype. Although in his more 'fun' movies like Batman and Witches of Eastwick, he is devilish and carazy, in movies like The Pledge and certianly About Schmidt, he is a different person, he doesnt adjust the role to fit himself. I think he is an undisputible legend in film, even if he was in Easy Rider.

Jack's awsome. About Schmitt was good, even though I'll doubt I'd want to watch it again. Too depressing. Plus......Kathy Bates scene..............:shudders:

Yeah I heard a lot about the scene, but it was for a split second...I didn't find it all that extravegant. However I was drunk on root-beer and stuffed with barbecued shrimp so...go packers.

It just seemed to last an eternity. Plus I was with my mother and grandmother when I saw it. And it was at the theater so it was 27 times normal size.

My fav Nicholson is Five Easy Pieces. Great performance, great film. Carnal Knowledge too. Hey you do realize Jack was in bed with Roger Corman (not literally of course)...the Terror and Little shop of Horrors and a few others...there might not be any legendary Nich without Corman...maybe

Yeah that Kathy Bates scene in About Schmitt(Good movie despite that)made me feel like retching. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be Jack Nicholson doing takes of that scene.

My friend loves Jack Nicholson, even though she hasn't seen many of his pictures. I gave her The Shining for Christmas.
