www.syfy.com/syfy20MST is mentioned on the website, so maybe worth a look? I think it will be a hour long self congratulatory pat on the back, glossing over all the cool stuff they don't run anymore, and all the fandoms Bonnie Hammer has ticked off over the years. Looking at that I'd say yeah, they're going to get at least a mention. Maybe only in passing, but who knows?

I'm surprised. At least they mention it. Comedy Central didn't mention it and would rather the world never know it existed.

It can't be as barf-worthy as the 25th Anniversary special Fox aired earlier this year, which had the gall to give itself a huge pat on the back for Firefly.

Comedy Central did mention MST3K on their website timeline, listing noteworthy events. But, it was only to say that MST3K won THE NETWORK its first Peabody Award. So.... I'm guessing the two Peabody Awards The Colbert Report won actually belong to the network, not the writers of that show itself, huh? Another thing about the FOX 25th anniversary special was "Bones" wasn't highlighted during their mentioning of their current shows. Probably because a lot of FOX execs don't care much for that show despite it's popularity. The only reason it's stayed on all these years is because the President is a fan.

I don't know if Comedy Central did a 20th anniversary, but I remember MST3K didn't get mentioned during their 13 anniversary special. The same special that had performances from Snoop Dogg(Who really contributed to Comedy Cenral's history with his brief cameos in The Man Show and Crank Yankers).

So, has MST3K been mentioned during the special yet, or did anyone watch it?

I'm watching now, and no, it hasn't been mentioned. The segments have been:
Stargate (all incarnations) Farscape Original miniseries and movies BSG and Caprica Reality programming
I really want to punch Matt Roush for saying the Siffy has no choice but to have reality shows because even the networks can't fill a schedule without it.

I am just now watching a DVR of the program.
Two clips of MST3K were shown, the one from "The Deadly Mantis" with the steering wheel, and the "looting" segment from "The Final Sacrifice".
Other than that, so far nothing else.

I shouldn't be so nitpicky, and be glad they acknowledged the show at all, but it bothered me that the show merely got a fleeting mention amongst other shows they picked up from previous networks such as Sliders and Stargate SG1. They didn't even bother explaining what MST3K was, or what the show was about.
Granted, they kinda did the same thing with Sliders, but still...

They mentioned MST early on as a show CC cancelled and they picked up. They didn't bother to talk about it for more than 30 seconds. 10 seconds for each season sounds reasonable. But they did go on and on about Galactica and Stargate.
They talked alot about those stupid original movies they do like "Dinoshark". I wish CT or RT could get some of those movies. They look bad. I mean bad bad.

Seemed like they just used MST3K and Sliders as a set up for their segment on SG-1. They were talking about shows they saved from being canceled.
