I never listened to much of Mr. Reed's music but he certainly influenced many of my favorite bands. RIP sir.

I saw the Killers pay tribute to him the day he died with a cover of "Pale Blue Eyes".
Not the most pleasant person from what I've heard, but truly one of the most important musicians of the rock era. "New York" is a masterpiece.
