This is my favorite time of year. The NFL is in full swing, the leaves are changing, and baseball gets really exciting.
Last year, we had a pick 'em contest. It wasn't very fair because mummi is a White Sox fan.
This year, we didn't get around to the contest, but we can still share our thoughts.
I just watched the A's beat the Twins in my favorite matchup of the playoffs.
Can anyone beat the Yankees?

Woo-hoo! The A's are my pick to win it all, and they got off to a great start today.
So I guess I think the A's can beat the Yankees.
For the record, my predictions:
A's over Twins Yankees over Tigers
Padres over Cardinals Dodgers over Mets (yep!)
A's over Yankees Dodgers over Padres (yep!)
A's over Dodgers

I'm not sure I have any real predictions.
But I can say who I want to win.
Division Series: Twins over A's Tigers over Yankees
Padres over Cardinals Dodgers over Mets
Championship Series: Twins over Tigers Dodgers over Padres
World Series: Twins over Dodgers
That being said, I don't think anyone can stop the Yankees, and it's going to be boring and annoying watching them win.

I really want the A's to go all the way and I really want the Yankees to lose as soon as possible. Wish in one hand and crap in the other though... anyway, my predictions
A's over Twins in 4 games Yankees over Tigers in 5 games
Cardinals over Padres in 4 games Mets over Dodgers in 4 games
A's over Yankees in 6 games Mets over Cardinals in 6 games
A's over Mets in 5 games

i'm picking the yankees all the way. they take game 1 8-4. jeter goes 5 for 5 with a homer. but now a wouldnt mine seeing the mets and yankees in another subway series just so me and my brother (a mets fan) can go at it. ( in a friendly way of course).

I'm picking the Yankees too. Now that their lineup is healthy, they can really hit. All their starters are either all stars, or former all stars. The Mets have too many injuries and now that Orlando Hernadez is out they have to go with Brent Mayne to start game 1. The Dodgers have some pretty good pitching, and the A's look real good too, but I'm not sure they have enough to beat the Yankees.

The Cards backed in but looked good in the first game. Today it's Wells vs. Weaver (OH NO)...I'm leaving work an hour early to watch...I just hope we get lucky, but I'm not holding my breath.

Well, the teams I want to win are a collective 0-5.
Anyone need any good gambling tips?

The Tigers really showed some savvy today pulling out a huge win in Yankee Stadium. Hopefully they'll have some momentum going back to Motown.

As down about it as I am right now, I'm still have hope for my Twins. This team plays much better when they are facing adversity, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if they took two from the A's on their home turf, and made this interesting. If we can manage to beat them in these next two games I am quite sure we will take the series at home in game five. Stranger things have happened. As far as predicitions go here are mine. Keep in mind I'm going to be a total homer here since no money is on the line! Twins over A's Tigers over Yankees Cardinals over Padres Mets over Dodgers Twins over Tigers Cardinals over Mets Twins over Cardinals in a repeat of the '87 World Series.

Go Tigers!
I really don't want to see a Yankees-A's series followed by a Yankees-Mets series.
Yawn.
GO TIGERS!
