On an aside, does anyone have a link to the infamous Superdome thread where the missing host segment was relocated? This one? forrestcrow.proboards.com/thread/4265If I remember right that becomes a heck of a mess. But what a cool, old-school discovery. Maybe K03 is still out there, with or without the KTMA master

Gerry and Sylvia Anderson were also responsible for Space: 1999.... Let's not forget the names of the Mole people that occasionally showed up in Deep 13!

Something that just occurred to me. It was announced that the next MST3K set from Shout! will have a bonus disc with (almost) all of the host segments from the KTMA era. I initially thought this would mean K01 - K03 would be left out, BUT, in light of recent events, maybe the host segments from the first two episodes *could* be included, and it's just K03 we'll be missing out on. And aren't there some K03 segments available? So we might be getting everything but some of K03?

Okay, time for a minor technical nitpick (sorry, but I don’t want this thread to turn into a gossip well on Satellite News).
Some have pointed out that K02 is slightly off sync, though when I first downloaded it the audio was more out of sync. Anyone know when this issue will be fixed? In the comments of the episode’s VHX page, wombat99 (Ivan?) mentions that they’re “uploading a fix”. Or maybe I’m just playing Mr. Perfect here never satisfied with what he’s given.

According to Joel in K01, it's Gene and Sylvia Anderson. Couple this with his "Gameron" comments, it's a shame they didn't eventually make Joel's "character" into "very bad with names".

Also calling the villains in K02 the Mysterians/Mysterions despite them being called Mysterons in the title.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the copy I downloaded yesterday seems alright. I tried downloading before the "fix" message was posted and it was definitely out of sync.

It's a safe bet Joel is a Gerry Anderson fan. There was a Thunderbirds parody in his Tv Wheel pilot.
Interesting how MST3K and Thunderbirds were both revived via Kickstarter in the same year.

Yes, it's interesting that after Joel left the Anderson references/riffs (Thunderbirds, Supercar, Stingray's "Stand by for action!" and him going down the slide UFO-style in the opening credits) stopped completely. There's a mention of Space:1999 in Time Chasers, but that might be the only one in the Mike era...

Wow, I never made the UFO connection to Joel going down the chute before. Good catch!
Odd there were never any obvious Space: 1999 riffs in Moon Zero Two. And Catharine Schell, (who played Maya in season two and Cosmic Princess) was in the movie.
There's actually Space 1999 stock footage in Pod People, but it's easy to miss.

Except the Nerdist gives the wrong impression that non-backers can buy those episodes.
