Okay, lets do the flip side. What episodes do you not feel is as great as others do. It doesn't have to mean you hate them, but just that you don't rank them as high.
For example. I like "Space Mutiny" very much. But not as much as a lot of people seem to. I laugh, I gave it a B+ which is a solid grade, but it doesn't leave me breathless from laughing so hard that an A grade episode does.
Others in my list...
Zilla vs Megs: I gave it a B. I think it has some funny riffs and it has GREAT host segments. But there is also a LOT of missed opportunities. Servo says "Hmmm" several times, or J&TB make tire squealing noise. That's not good enough for these guys, they're better than that. I just don't see the A+ episode everyone else does when I watch it.
Wild World of Batwoman: I've tried, God knows I've tried. I've seen this turkey 4 times and wanted to laugh like I've heard others laugh. But after the sheer brilliance of the "cheating" short, I go pretty silent during "Batwoman". A few chuckles, a handful of laughs, but mostly I watch the clock and wonder how much time is left. That's Hellcats and Hamlet bad for me. I just don't laugh very much.
Your turn and remember. These are opinions, lets not get our undies in a bunch if we see a favorite. It's all in fun.

Wild World of Batwoman is a bit of a snore and I'll tell you why,it tries to be funny. Same for Hobgoblins. Moves that try to be funny are harder to riff. I think it works much better when movies take themselves too seriously. A bad drama can be funny but a bad comedy is just, well, deep hurting.

Catalina Caper was a disappointment for me...maybe when it came out it was really good, considering it was the begining of the second season I didn't find it very funny but I'll try it again some time.
Now, about the Wild World of Batwoman-- the first time I saw it I loved it...it had me laughing like crazy. I saw it again a short time later and I sat there wondering: why did I enjoy it that much? The movie is just too terrible and unbearable.

IMO the most overrated episode is Pod People. It's probably my least favorite episode to date too (Keep in mind I've only seen one Season 1 episode and none of the KTMAs) I just don't think it's funny, and I've watched it several times just to see if it finally strikes me. I've read the reviews on this site and I still don't see what makes it so great. IMO the good riffs are few and far between and the "Cheif McLoud" thing gets old around the second time they do it. I didn't really care for the host segments either.
Other overrated episodes? I'd start with Final Sacrifice. It's funny, but I don't think it's as funny as many MSTies do. Catilina Caper is another one. It just wasn't effective when they were taking on an intentional comedy. Parts: The Clonus Horror too. This movie is just sooooooooo boring I find myself spacing out whenever I attempt to watch this episode. Host segments were great though, I'll give it that.
The Wild Wild World of Batwoman I'm 50/50 on. One one hand we have a top notch short and host segments and on the other a hidious movie with hit and miss riffs.

Parts, Final Sacrifice and pod People are classics!!!...imo Weird how people find different things funny. Final Sacrifice offered a few classic riffs (Knew him? He was delicious!) but on the whole, I didn't enjoy it as much as others. Out of 4, I'd give it 3 stars. Parts, as I stated above, just bored the hell out of me.

I like Parts, Final Sacrifice and Pod People. I also like Giant Gila Monster but I'm partial to B&W 50s sci fi. It looks like I'm alone in not liking Sant Claus. It's just creepy.

I like Parts, Final Sacrifice and Pod People. I knew I was going to be alone when I stated Pod People. God it's great to be unique.

The thing is any episode I claim to not like still has something funny in it. Even a lesser MST is better than most of what passes for TV comedy.

I think we all can agree on that. Even in that one Seson One episode I saw, there was potential that I find laking in most of what I see anymore.

Gamera Time Of The Apes Mitchell (sorry)

There are very few episodes I don't like, but if I had to pick those that are overrated I'd go with Catalina Caper, the original Gamera (though parts were very good, and I loved Gamera vs. Guiron), and Invasion of the Neptune Men. (sorry, Forrest.)

The Final Sacrifice, while really funny, isn't a classic, or the best ep, in my books. The funniest eps i've ever seen are definitely Space Mutiny and Deathstalker.
Some other over-rated eps: - Manos: The Hands of Fate (I didn't find it too funny, the movie is too disturbing) - The Beast of Yucca Flats (not too funny, just average) - Boggy Creek II (I barely laughed at all)

Have to go with Pod People and Merlin's Shop of Mystical whatever. I've only seen Merlin's once, but I find Ernest Borgnine disturbing in that.
Remember, I'm only up to 20 episodes and I've never seen anything earlier that Pod People.

But...Yucca Flats!! The A-Bomb!!! Jim and Joe!!! Joseph Javorski, noted scientist!!! Flag on the Moon...
I agree that Final Sacrifice is overated.
