Last week I watched Manos for the first time and I really didn't find it that funny. However, I was really tired when I was watching it and even fell asleep for a few minutes near the end. I'm sure that if I watch it again I will like it, because I thought Mitchell was bad the first time but on a second viewing it was hilarious.

Regarding "Hamlet". I love that episode. The riffs in that one are so good, in my opinon, that it takes away from the movie being so boring.
Didn't find Manos particularly boring as many did. It was certainly poorly made. But what can you expect from a fertilizer salesman who tried to make a movie?
But the real snoozer, to me, was Red Zone Cuba. I hadn't watched it all the way through, and decided to. Could barely keep my eyes open..........

I love the fairy tale episodes. Jack Frost especially.
I have a rough time with the Hercules movies. Nothing happens, and without the handy ACEG, I'd never be able to remember which is which.
Also difficult are some of the Gamera flicks. Specifically, the ones with too much Kenny and not enough guys in rubber suits fighting.
But of all the episodes, the one I am least likely to sit down and watch again is "The Incredibly Strange Creatures..." I don't know why, but the movie just made me nauseous.

I have to say Pod People and Jack Frost. They're both very irritating movies, especially the kid in PP. The worse the movie, the more I like the episode. But I LIKE rotten movies. Heck, I've seen Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter. Plus, I'm not right in the head.

Hamlet - I'm sure the riffing was good, but the movie's so dark and dull that I have a hard time paying attention.
Monster A Go-Go - I don't know, just boring.
Escape 2000 - It's probably a good episode, but I wasn't in a very atentitive mode that day.

Hamlet is one of my favortie episodes. I think it is absolutely hysterical.
"I'm going to cut his throat in a church!"
I agree with the people who said Master Ninja I & II and The Castle Of Fu-Manchu are bad eps.
Also, I agree the fantasy episodes are hard to get through, in fact I really can't stand them. However, there are parts of Jack Frost that are A+

Hamlet has some oustanding riffs, never said it didn't. But there are so few of them. You get a nice quip, then saw some Zzz's while you wait for another set.
The film by it's nature, doesn't open itself up to one laugh after another, which I preferr. To me it was a mistake to do that one when something cheesy like "The Giant Claw" -with it's horrible turkey monster- is perfect fodder for the show. There had to be a better movie available to them.
But then again, I'm suffering from a high fever right now and might not be making any sense. Besides, I think "Boggy Creek II" is an great episode, so WTH do I know? LOL.

On the primary topics,....
Love Manos.
Don't care for Red Zone Cuba.
Hamlet's not bad as of my second viewing of it.
Gamera was a bit of a struggle.
There you have it, my opinions on those for without any explanation from me.

A few of the episodes that are highly regarded in the MSTie world (Manos, Parts, Time Chasers, Boggy Creek, Touch of Satan, and alot of Joels eps, for example), I just can't watch the whole thing. I get bored easily, and nothing funny seems to happen with regularity in those. They all have their moments, but these just don't make me laugh too much.

I totally have to agree with 'The Unearthly' can't quite put my finger on it, but I just seem to lose interest after a while.

The most unwatchable for me are Red Zone Cuba and Hamlet.
Half the story seems to be edited out of Red Zone Cuba or they were just trying to keep us in suspense, either way it didn't work.
As for Hamlet, I didn't like Shakespear in school and I don't like it on tv either.

I've always been a big fan of Shakespeare.
I once realized that all of his sonnets could easily be set to a Vaudeville tune.
They heard my presentation three classrooms away, so the rumor goes.

I've noticed that I really enjoy every episode, after I watch it a few times; for example, I feel Manos is frikkin hilarious; however, when I first saw it, I fell asleep. Now I can finish off three bags of popcorn before the credits roll There are others, like The Hellcats. When I first saw that episode, I nearly gave up on MST3K, but after watching it a second time, I loved it. It all has to do with how well I know the movie - the more I watch, the more I'll be able to pick up on some of the more obscure riffs. --LordKaT

Quoted from Mighty Jack "Hamlet has some oustanding riffs, never said it didn't. But there are so few of them. You get a nice quip, then saw some Zzz's while you wait for another set. " ***************************************
As I have the right to speak my opinion, I will agree with part of that. I think Hamlet had so many outstanding riffs that I didn't have time to ZZZ. Unfortuntely, it's been a while since I've seen, it so I can't put my finger on one. I can't remember being bored at all. Not a well made film, but sure enjoyed the crew's interpretation of it.
But on the subject of Shakespeare. I had lots of theater friends who dragged me to see performances. And I did find them very boring. Just because I don't understand the language. If someone were to translate it for me. Or make me more of a literary intellectual, I might have enjoyed it more. And this is coming from someone, who actually had a small part in a Shakespeare play ! ! !
