I'm not sure...I've downloaded and watched 116 episodes now...I've started burning them to disc instead of...boo hoo...deleting them like I used to. I have 4 on my computer I haven't watched, 2 others to burn and a bunch of shorts and specials...about 5.93 GB worth.

I've got like 11 shorts, and ~6 guest appearances, making ofs, etc. (like the PSX thing, This is MST3K, etc.)

I've got like 11 shorts, and ~6 guest appearances, making ofs, etc. (like the PSX thing, This is MST3K, etc.) yeah, well...like I said, I've downloaded that many...but I deleted almost all of them until recently when they made the CD-Rs I buy 'bigger' (i.e. they can take 700MB), I started burning them. I have 25 on disc + the 6 on my computer + the specials. So, while I've seen 116 eps...90 of those I had...and deleted. I think I'm going to cry now. So, I am downloading everything AGAIN...and burning them to disc this time. So, you've got a much bigger collection than I. I have the movie and It Lives By Night on VHS. Whoopee!

I feel like a computer illiterate...but, I have never downloaded an ep. I either recorded them from TV or have purchased the Rhino DVDs or bought burned DVDs on Ebay.
Does one need a DVD burner or can a CD burner burn a show that can play on a DVD player???
Where does one go to download eps?? Is there a registration process???
HELPPP!!!!

Go to www.dapcentral.org They have high-quality episodes and don't worry about low-quality files, the community is always working on reencoding them. You can download episodes using eDonkey, mIRC and/or FTP. Ignore Kazaa! They have bad files!

Trust me, you cannot be any more computer illiterate than I. I wrote GB, which means Gigabyte (sp?) and I know that MB means Megabyte but my knowledge ends there...I'm pretty sure MBs are bigger than GBs. Um, I download mine from Soul Seek and I hear eDonkey is pretty good (probably superior)...avoid KAZAA at all costs...I wouldn't even trust the so-called Kazaa Lite that claims to be Spyware-free. I used Kazaa for about a year before things I noticed that it was probably the cause of the frequent crashes, inability to log on the internet, viruses etc...I eventually dumped the program but I was stuck with all the Spy/hijack/ and ad-ware that had been loaded or enabled by my having used Kazaa. If you don't know what the hell I'm talking about: Spyware: pretty obvious. it used to monitor your web browser...what sites you view and the frequency of your web activity. Adware really goddamned annoying. Popup adverts are everywhere, but if you are really PLAGUED by them, chances are you've got adware. Hijackware the worst. ever log on the internet only to find your homepage has been changed? or suddenly there are new favorites that you did not add (usually one of two or all of them will be porn links)? Chances are, you got yrself some hijackware. Other things to look out for are new programs on you desktop that you didn't ask for (usually 'dialers', usually porn/sex related), pop ups that ask you if you'd like to install some phantom program that has nothing to do with what action you are performing (i.e. if you are trying to view a video or something and it asks if you'd like to install Quicktime or whatever, that is okay...but if you are just visting a site and it wants to load something or change your homepage...click no and close your browser (if they let you).

I have the deleted scenes...if you're on Soul Seek, my handle is ganubiseffect...it's a pretty awful quality, it's like watching the Zapruder film.

that is if Abraham Zapruder was a one-legged drunk standing on a skateboard during an 8.0 scale earthquake.

Thanks Rowdoser! Is this PC only or Mac and PC? I believe eDonkey is also available for MacOS X. The downloaded videos are in MPEG format, so I believe they can easily be converted to a VCD-compatable format which will play in a DVD player. Oh, and Rowsdower, a GB is WAY bigger than a MB. (1024MB = 1GB)

Anything you need (including the cut scenes and other rarities) can be found at the DAP. They use e-donkey. If you have broadband, they are the way to go. If you select 6 or more files to download and leave it running, you will have them in a few days. Just make sure you READ THE FAQ!!! They aren't very tolerant of people who dont do their research.

Uh, hi, I don't know anything. I tried reading the DAP FAQ, but I still don't understand. If I just want to watch an episode on the computer...First I have to register with DAP, then I get E-Donkey and go to it, then I download an episode...and then do I just double click on the file to play it? Why do I have to register with DAP to be able to get an episode on E-Donkey?
I don't know anything about this stuff, so if somebody could tell me in the least technical way possible, I'd appreciate it.
