Okay...so we had the thread about odd attractions.
NOW....how about goofy film heros that you for one reason or another find to be likable or cool in a dopey way?
I hate to admit it....but Dick Contina in Daddy O is not too unlikeable- even though he has a bizarre belt buckle and hikes his pants up.
Also- the hero in MAGIC SWORD- which is my favorite film of all MSTied films on its own merit.
The guy in Jack Frost also has a likeable quality about him.
Anyone....?

I like ol' Daddy-O too (cause it ain't hip 'til you're in total pain) and you gotta like Mitchell!

Prince of Space is an obvious choice. I'll also go with Silver Morgan from Girls Town. She is goofy in that she uses that awful 50's/60's/whatever slang.

Prince of Space just because the whole bootblacker by day superhero by night stich reminds me of Underdog who was one of my favorite superheroes as a kid.

I have three: 1. The clone hero from "parts". He is a horrible actor, but his character actually does brave things by questioning authority, breaking into Clonus headquarters, grasping the truth, managing to escape even after getting shot, alerting the public, then going back to Clonus to rescue his girlfriend, only to meet death.
2. Ivan from "Jack Frost". With a better haircut, this is the kind of man I would marry. Boastful, brash, good-looking, extremely confident, strong, filled with good humor, never backs down from a confrontation, smart enough to learn of his own flaws, devoted to his love. Actually, it's the kind of man I am going to marry! My fiance' is all of those things.
3. Jimmy from "I Accuse My Parents". Okay, there really aren't very many truly heroic qualities in him, but he is very sweet and cute and earnest, so I like him. It hurts to watch Kitty break his heart, which he gave to her so freely and naively. There isn't a trace of darkness in him, which is odd considering the plot of the movie.

I was gonna say Rowsdower, but would he really qualify as a hero?

Big Stupid, I mean Bix Dugan from Girl in Lovers Lane. He was actually a very honorable guy and the actor wasn't bad. A lot better than the guy who played Danny.

Mitchell, Deputy Sheriff Geronimo and Big Stupid all come to mind. Also Lloyd Bridges' character in "Rocketship X-M."

Would Coily the Spring Sprite be considered a goofy hero?
