Just watched it again for the first time since it originally aired.
I'll tell you- the riffs are VERY funny.
Mike- "Hey, its RUN DMC Everett Coop" Mike - "Is there any word in the English language this guy hasn't used?"
Many other great lines.
I love the Hamlet action figure with the loooooong string!
Everyone should give it another try.

I think Hamlet's a good episode. I found it very witty.
"Horatio." "What a stupid name."

I'm one of the few Hamlet fans too. It's very funny.

The first time i saw it i could barely handle it. it was long and boring.
When i got the box set #4 i watched it another time, and i found it to be better. its still only about an average episode but its still one i will watch from time to time.

I love this episode. It proves that even good material can be given the MST3K treatment and work just fine. I love the riffing during the scene with Laertes and the king.
"I'll cut his throat in a church!"
"Now that's a little over the top."

i was seconds away from posting that exact same thing Forrest.
I think calling that German abortion of a film "good material" is a giving it to much credit. Now when the Germans where making it THEY had good material, but they butchered it.

Good material? I think you're giving this movie more credit than it deserves. I meant the play itself, not the version being riffed.

There are a few good, smart quips, but not enough of them. My laugh quotient per riff is pretty low for this one. One of the lowest of the series.
This will probably be the only instance in which I'd ever say this... But in my MSTed world; to heck with William, I'd rather have Coleman Francis!

I wouldn't say it's one of my favorites but I find it to be one of those underrated episodes that I enjoy despite how it gets no respect.

I just finished watching this one (first time since originally aired). It was better than I remembered, but not a great episode by any stretch of the imagination. Some good riffs, but not nearly enough of them.

Hamlet is THE WORST EPISODE EVER. But's it's still pretty good, they've never had bad episode, I haven't seen a KTMA yet (well since they first aired and I was only 1 year old) but I'm going into it with a fresh mind and going to go for the movies and stay for the commentary.

I love it, I mean the riffs, i don't worry too much about the movie it stinks, there are the long parts when the ghost is talking and all they show is hamlets face, and when he's talking about how he's a chicken for not killing himself. Dying was pretty long too, ok it's certainly no "this island earth" but it's still got a place on my "MST3K great ones" shelf. Hey hamlet, why don't you RAMlet? oh yeah, shut up ClaudiASS!
