I never saw the three stooges, so maybe I'll tell my dad that it is on DVD, and he'll get it. I really do not wish to pay money for a few introductions.

Personally, I'd rather be forced to swallow a bucket of pig vomit than watch the Stooges. I wish I had a way to put this to the test.

MASH still sucks. 'Tis your opinion. But, I have to say, seeing men bludgeon and hurt each other with random objects for X amount of minutes would get tiring. Don't hurt me, Forrest.

You have to be a man to like it. Women hate it right away. MASH is still an unfunny show, and actually liberal propaganda. Another reason I don't appeal to Dr. Strangelove. Being opposed to war is liberal propaganda?

It WAS unfunny and liberal propaganda from season four on, but the first three season were pure gold even better than the movie. Dr. Strangelove is not liberal propaganda, the book may have been as it was written in a very serious tone but the movie was not more than a light hearted parody of Nuclear weaponry, Nazis, Texans and Frompy British Guys.

I agree, you don't appeal to Dr. Strangelove. Genius. I think what you meant is "Another reason Dr. Strangelove doesn't appeal to me." Which is still a pretty asinine thing to say, but hey- nothing shows ignorance like one's opinion, right?

It's got nothing to do with liberal or conservative politics. It has to do with quality of the program.
I don't like drugs but thought "Drugstore Cowboy" was a powerful film.
I don't like war but I loved "Glory"
I don't like Patton (as a human being) but found the movie to be brilliant.
Why, because they are well told stories.
I disagree with you Hagar, MASH was a GREAT show, and more than 3 seasons. I grew up watching that show unfold, week by week. It's a lot different discovering a show late, watching it in big chunks on a box set, or out of order via re-runs. You lose the character development and the slow, yearly progress. Yes it became more drama at the end, and yes the final season showed that the premiss was getting tired and neeed to be retired. But it was a GREAT show.
MASH, Dr. Stragelove were quality producions. Stoogies are miles from quality comedy.
Violence is ugly. The Stooges style of humor make a more reprehensible statement than MASH or Strangelove could ever dream of.

Republicans, democrats, independant, whatever, as a whole none of them like war. The only difference is, in time of war, you can't just back down, and sometimes you have to fight. Listen, Dr. Strangelove is okay, and I need to see it again before I make final judgement. MASH however is idiotic in my opinion. And I'm sure a liberal would not like the film Red Dawn, which is republican pro-war propaganda. But, neither side really wants war, but in a time of war, liberals want to back down, and republicans want to keep going until we are the victor. Lemminkiman, thanks for the help! You've made me a much better person I'm a Republican/Conservative, but I think that wars shouldn't be fought over oil (and you know that is what the current one is about).

Well I don't much care for extreme cartoon violence either. I grew up with freaking Woody Woodpecker and one show that I remember was Woody tossing a dog into a meat grinder and turning him into a hotdog.
I dunno, I thought it was sick and twisted, even at 7 years of age (or whatever I was)
The Stooges entire act was predicated upon relentless and unyeailding acts of violence. Cartoon-like or not, that amount and degree of physical pounding is not something I stomach well.
Sorry Mike and Forrest, but It's too mindless and cruel to make me laugh.

That my friend is Tor Johnson star of such movies like The Unearthly, Bride of the Monster, and Beast of Yucca Flats. The picture is gone through some filter that you know makes the picture look nifty.

So bite me; I don't like watching a bunch of dumb sh**ts bashing each other in the nuts for laughs. IT'S NOT FUNNY. You find that a laugh riot, cool for you. I don't, cool for me. I also hate "Jackass" for the same reasons. When it comes to "C.O.M.E.D.Y" that's not my style.

...Tor kind of looks like my dad. And that pic, From Plan 9 BTW, looks like my dad after coming home late from his bowling league.
Ahh, ha, ha... but I kid my dad. Seriously, he's the greatest (and no, he doesn't really come home late, drunk to the gills, saying "Time for get a strike!")

godamnit. I knew this couldn't be about the Stooges, and now having said that I realize how wrong I may be.
Guys, listen to the news, read the news, explore the internet. Believe what you want and find out all there is to know. I dont even know if thier is "knowing" anymore. Its been sent back to believing again with new innovations in the art of deception being invented everyday.
I know deep down we argue the same side somehow. We agree on something, but it isnt the Christian faith or the teachings of Mohammed or the Israeli front or the Palestinian resistance. Its a mix of everything. It has to be. Because if it isn't, then that means someone here doesn't deserve to live and THAT can't be true. Okay Im simplifying it way down to a hippie-like idealistic viewpoint. Sue me.
The truth is, in November half of us will have to shut up... for about 4 days. Find your way of putting an end to two-party madness.
