If I win anything over a million I will host a party for the MST board. I swear. I agree with the member who said "Just put Parts on MST3K DVD."

Nice to know the guy's cool with MST3K. Just like Beverly Garland, and the guy that made Time Chasers.

Good luck, Mr. Fiveson sir, with your quest to discourage Hollywood rip-offs.

Question is once he gets to know us, will he want us in his house? I know I wouldn't. The answer is no.

Mr. Fiveson, I will be rooting for you. Parts is one of my favorite episodes on MST3K, and I always thought there was something endearing about it. One of those low-budget movies with a decent premise. I was actually glad that it was being remade as The Island, until I found out that you weren't getting any credit and it wasn't officially tagged a "remake". Screw those bastards!

I support you in everything here. Clonus was a legitimately good movie, especially considering the budget that it was made on. I was pumped for a remake, but then I found out that it was just a rip-off and got pissed. I have been posting on other movie forums, but surprisingly they just didn't care. But I got the word out as much as I could.
Oh, and just so you know, I work at Blockbuster, so if your lawsuit fails to block the DVD (which it won't) then I'll just scratch up the back or say that they aren't checked in or something lol, jk.

Nice find, vh. I've been wanting to read the actual court documents but had come up dry.

I just read through the 90 similarities Fiveson listed between the two films. I can't believe they even copied the bickering married couple who try to help the escaped clone! That is an audacious, blatant rip-off because the interaction between Keenan Wynn and the woman who played his wife was very strange and seemed like improv. It was a pathetic attempt at comic relief that seemed to be made up on the spot, and yet the makers of The Island saw fit to put it in their movie. To me, that proves that they copied directly from the Clonus Horror. Unbelievable!

Does anyone know how the legal battle is going? The DVD release is coming up soon and I really want to rub it into the faces of a few Island fans over on another board if Fiveson wins lol.

As I was reading a review I recognized the plot immediately!
Of COURSE it's a ripoff. I hope he makes some money from this. (God bless him, he won't make any in films!)

Does anyone know how the legal battle is going? It is being decided by a judge. With any luck, it will be obvious and Messrs. Fiveson and Schreibman can proceed.
