Well that's not me saying that. It's about quality. As with any product, you fail to deliver to certain standards and I'll exercises my right to pass. But anyone who wants to stick with 'em, that's fine too. You gotta do what cha gotta do.
But I hope they are in great shape and that it does get released in May. Because that's my birthday month and with Red Dwarf 8 coming out in May that would make for some powerful birthday fun.

I appreciate the new intros, but come on, give us some extras with substance. If you're going to spend money, spend it on new interviews with the Brains or new documentaries. Otherwise use the specials and other BBI-produced extras that they have access to. What's the point of spending money to produce these twenty second things when you can just include the lengthy free stuff that fans actually want?

Rewatched Sinister Urge today, tis a great ep. Wonderful to have it get a release.
"Kline, guard the corpse. Kline, wait in the car. Kline, don't do an introduction for the DVD. When is it Kline's turn?!?!"

Besides, Conrad Brooks was only in Sinister Urge because he was in that fight scene that Wood had filmed for a completely different movie! Save him for Bride of the Monster or even Beast of Yucca Flats....

I like this collection, love The Incredibly Strange Creatures and The Sinister Urge, the other two aren't my favorites but they will grow on me.

Hey, nice selection. "Women of the Prehistoric Planet" is by far one of my favorite Season 1 episodes (despite a loathable movie, Mike does a great job in his first speaking role). "Wild Rebels" finally completes the Season 2 biker flick trilogy and is a pretty darn good episode to boot. "The Sinister Urge" I haven't even seen before, and it's great to finally see a Rhino release of an Ed Wood flick. And "Incredibly Strange Creatures" is one of those middle-of-the-roaders, but I still get some good laughs out of it. As long as there aren't any glitches, I say count me in!
Come to think of it, this would be an ideal set with which to introduce someone to the series as a whole. You've got one episode from the Joel/Dr. F/Dr. E years, one from the Joel/Dr. F/Frank years, one from the Mike/Dr. F/Frank years, and one from the Mike/Pearl years. This is the first set that's done this - think it was intentional?

I'm happy with the choices. It's nice to have another Season 1 on DVD, and 'Prehistoric Planet' is a good choice. Wild Rebels is my favorite episode from Season 2. Sinister Urge is just quality stuff from a great Season 6, and 'Creatures' is a quality episode also.

I passed on season 8 but I may buy this one. Getting a better quality season 1 is welcome. But this selection is certain to be controversial.

I think it is a pretty good set. Wild Rebels is an excellent episode. So are Urge and Strange. 104 is a strange choice.

I'm excited because out of the four, I have only seen Strange (one of my favorites) and my VHS copy of it is getting old from too much time spent in the VCR.

I think this is great. I agree it's a strange assortment and not all are my all-time favorites, but I look forward to everything that comes out. There's still hope that one of these days we may see some of the real rarities and new Best Brain content a lot of us are looking for.

A very good overview of the show. Perhaps the rights just all fell into place, or was there thought to it? Hmmmmm.

A very good overview of the show. Perhaps the rights just all fell into place, or was there thought to it? Hmmmmm. Yeah, there was thought to it all right. They thought, "Hmmmm, what episodes does samptari dislike the most? Let's release those." Since they've already released "Creeping Terror", "The Dead Talk Back", and "Sidehackers", I'm forced to assume they just hate me. I also assume that they just couldn't secure the rights to "Mad Monster" or "Lost Continent" to complete the perfect set. Yes, it's all about me.
