A fairly reasonable prediction, I think:
423 "Bride of the Monster" 505 "The Magic Voyage of Sinbad" 605 "Colossus and the Headhunters" 910 "The Final Sacrifice"
Yes, I know, everybody wants "Puma Man", and I want it too, but for some reason, I just don't see Rhino releasing it in the near future. However, let's take a look at this: "Bride of the Monster" is not only public domain, but it's an Ed Wood film AND features the first half of the "Hired!" short, so it can compliment the already-released "Manos: The Hands of Fate". Both "The Magic Voyage of Sinbad" and "Colossus and the Headhunters" were going to be released at one point but Rhino never got to them, and I'm pretty sure they're PD - plus, "Sinbad" would be the first of the four MSTed Russo-Finnish flicks to see a DVD release. "The Final Sacrifice" is another high-demand episode, and even though it's a more recent movie, I doubt it'd be expensive for Rhino to license it (they got their hands on "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders" and "Time Chasers", after all).
Usually, rights obtainment is the deciding factor here, but Rhino surprised us all with "The Incredibly Strange Creatures...", so anything's possible, really. Still, I think something like the above list is much more likely.

Actually, to be honest I'm not that big a fan of that episode, nor do I really want it in the next box. What makes the release of TISCWSLABMUZ so great is that (if I'm not mistaken) it wasn't shown more than 4 or 5 times. I would like to see any Rhino release of Sci-Fi era shows focus on similar situations. Most Sci-Fi's are readily available from digital (DVR) transfers to disc. Can't say the same about the above title or any CC era episode.

Good point, I was wondering the same thing. Both of Chris Cornell's DVD polls have it listed pretty high up and it's the first national episode, etc. How about The Crawling Eye and a special intro/interview with Joel and maybe Trace?? That would be beautiful. Maybe if we can get Josh, and we could like get a fifteen minute featurette reflecting on the first episode and how the show evolved over time. Oh who am I kidding? That's not going to happen. But I can dream? That's a beautiful dream - hell if they could get together for "Star Wait", they should be able to film an interview or retrospective with the founding fathers - and Crawling Eye would be a great one for that. Yes, I love Mike with all my heart, but damn it - Joel's the friggin creator lets get him involved! As for set 10, hell I never get it right - but I feel like continuing the Mr. Atari curse. It will be Girls Town, and then 3 episodes he doesn't care for (Gimme 3 Mr. A)

i can't even begin to guess. Volume 9 defied so many expectations that I don't even have a way to pretend to predict what they may do next.

Given that this will be the set for the fall and winter, I'm really hoping that Santa Claus will be on it. I heard that it was PD, so I don't see what the problem would be. I want a complete set of MST3K Christmas films!

Volume 9 is pretty much the format I would like to see them try to keep from here on out.
2 Joels 1 Mike CC 1 Mike Sci-Fi
Here's my wishlist for volume 10 (leaving off Sandy Frank and Universal, sigh)
101. The Crawling Eye (or 107. Robot Monster) 402. The Giant Gila Monster 521. Santa Claus 1001. Soultaker
If Universal isn't going to release their monster/sci-fi back catalog themselves, they should at least license their movies to Rhino for the MST sets.

Rhino's been releasing episodes that people didn't even think they would put on dvd. Like PREHISTORIC PLANET and INCREDIBLY STRANGE CREATURES. Who knows what they could put on this next set.
I hope a least one of these: Santa Claus* Deathstalker and the Warriors from Hell Puma Man* Soultakers City Limits* The Brute Man The Day the Earth Froze Bride of the Monster Alien From L.A. Robot Holocaust ** The Final Sacrifice and last Quest of the Delta Knights
* I really would love to have on the next set!

As for set 10, hell I never get it right - but I feel like continuing the Mr. Atari curse. It will be Girls Town, and then 3 episodes he doesn't care for (Gimme 3 Mr. A) Sorry I'm so late replying- I just saw this. Actually, if they released Girls Town, I'd probably forgive any other 3. And most of my least favorites have already been released (I'm looking at you, "Creeping Terror", "Unearthly", "Dead Talk Back", and "Incredibly Strange Creatures..."). But assuming no more double dips (which could send me on a killing spree), what would be 3 eps that could continue the Atari curse? How about: Mad Monster Lost Continent (or some other season 2 Lippert pile) Space Children (or the other Peggy Webber scowl-fest: The Screaming Skull) That would be quite a trifecta. But what I expect is that they'll get another Corman beauty, but instead of a great ep like "Blood Beast" or "The Undead", it'll be some lesser ep like "Swamp Diamonds" or "Teenage Caveman". Or they'll finally do a spy movie ep, but it'll be "Diamond Head".

Does anyone know which episodes featuring Crown International Films haven't been released by Rhino?
The only one I know of, off the top of my head is First Spaceship on Venus.

Yeah, you'd think that would have been released by now. Yet another proof of the Atari Curse. I'm telling you, Peggy Webber WILL appear on volume 10. Bet the farm on it, ma.

In fact, rumor has it that Peggy Webber will do introductions for every episode in the next set. Each will consist of 20 minutes of her looking sour and disapproving.

"The Giant Gila Monster " is one of the very best episodes, IMO. The movie is cheesy in a so-bad-it's-funny way, and the riffing was never better. I'd like to see Rhino put that one out, so that more people can appreciate it.
