Speculate away, what will be on Volume 10 and why?
211- First Spaceship on Venus 402 - Giant Gila Monster (or: 409 - The Indestructible Man) 701 - Night of the Blood Beast 903 - Puma Man
First Spaceship on Venus: yet another Crown International film and there's no short getting in the way.
Giant Gila Monster or The Indestructible Man: because they are public domain, I think Rhino has released both on dvd (un-MSTied); they have both been on pretty much every realistic list of 'Most Likely's' forever.
Night of the Blood Beast: finally releasing a Season 7 episode and the only one that is probably releasable (a Corman film, wouldn't be the first).
Puma Man: because it topped the poll list and has always ranked pretty high and I think it might be PD, also.

However, if that's the case why are there no commercially available copies of shorts like 'Phantom Creeps' and 'Commando Cody'? I'm positive I've seen threads (maybe not here at the board, probably on the usenet) about the different rights with the Shorts and Films. I think that guy only gave them the educational shorts, not the earlier 'serial' shorts.

I know because Alpha Video has it on DVD....and all of their stuff is PD. And I know that Radar Men From the Moon is PD because they use lots of parts of it in J-Men Forever!. As is Undersea Kingdom....also on Alpha.

Hope this opens up the possible release of some more Season 1 and other various episodes. Although a quick peruse of Van Hagar's thread about Rhino release likelihood does nothing but bring a frown to my face. My hypothetical Vol. 10 is based strictly on recently release patterns and my best guess based on 'studio holdings' of specific titles.

All due respect to Van Hagar...I don't even think Rhino knows what the likelihood of releases are.... EDIT: I do like your ideas for Volume 10....but I still want Ring of Terror released.

I hope Ring Of Terror and Teenage Strangler are in it. I hear ya, two great one's. I thought I was the *only* person that liked Teenage Strangler that much. When I gave my VHS collection of MST3K tapes away (GASP!!) in 1996 or 97, one of the few ep's I kept was Teenage Strangler. It bit the dust a few years ago though..

I'm going to guess at least Puma Man being in the next one. There's been a high demand for that episode, at least here.

This season one ep in volume nine has me intrigued. I can't help but wonder if they'll do it again for 10. Crawling Eye perhaps?

Both of Chris Cornell's DVD polls have it listed pretty high up and it's the first national episode, etc. How about The Crawling Eye and a special intro/interview with Joel and maybe Trace??

That would be beautiful. Maybe if we can get Josh, and we could like get a fifteen minute featurette reflecting on the first episode and how the show evolved over time. Oh who am I kidding? That's not going to happen. But I can dream?

I wanna see The Beast of Yucca Flats...it's been years. And, yes, get Joel to finally acknowledge MST3K for a change.

I wanna see The Beast of Yucca Flats...it's been years. And, yes, get Joel to finally acknowledge MST3K for a change. At one point, that title was going to be released by Rhino (when they were doing the VHS releases in bunches of 2 and 3 every 6 months. For some reason, it got scrubbed.
