'Fraid I agree with sb5. Not something that I have an interest in whatsoever. Nor does it seem like a medium that would lend itself to the original concept. We'll see, I suppose... Well, I'm guessing Jim pissed off Mary Jo too. Van Hagar, Perhaps you should reread my post that you quoted. I said that I myself have no interest in this project whatsoever. And I don't. When I post here, I post my thoughts unless I note otherwise. And I always note otherwise. This strikes me as your assumption that I'm Mary Jo's shill here, and I take exception with that. The opinion I expressed was my own. And, if you'll note, I didn't dismiss Jim's project out of hand. I took, as it appears you do as well, a 'wait and see' attitude. If you ever want to remark on a post I've made, do it with the clear understanding that it was my post based on my perceptions, and if there were any other influences to the content, it will be clearly stated. So, are they gonna launch the site at 12, or shortly thereafter?
Cuz, if so... not much longer.

I just tried it, and it still redirects to Satellite News... of course, it's still Nov. 4 here. Maybe it'll be midnight Midwest time...

Well, Paul was good as Crow, and the Tom Servo's new voice kinda reminds me of Josh's Servo (which is fine by me), but ummm...they didn't say anything very funny. It's like a lame host segment, and you can't even be like, "Well, at least when they're done here we can get back to some good ol' movie riffing!" And that's a shame, 'cause I've always liked the host segments. I liked Crow's line near the beginning though, "At least you got a meal out of it, eh, buddy?" I thought that was cute. (And this is probably just me, but I'm kinda dissapointed that they're still on the SOL. I was kinda hoping the cartoon would follow the Bots as they adjust to living on Earth and have wacky misadventures and shennanigans. Again, this is probably just me. ) At least the website itself is pretty cool, except...is there music or sound effects playing for anyone on the home page at all? I thought maybe my computer sound wasn't working, but then when I played the cartoon and the videos the sound was fine. But everything else, like when I'm watching a nifty animated door sequence, is dead silent. And that's weird.

Hmmm...still not liking the art style very much, the bot designs in particular. Crow in particular. Augh. I kinda like the set-up of the site with the ship parts and traditional door sequence, plus the fact that is has a few old show clips up, but....so far, color me unimpressed.

DEEP HURTING!!Perhaps there should have been a laughing track to indicate where the jokes are. Or maybe it was just a sales pitch for sit-on-top canoes.. And I too was struck by the lack of sounds on the site. I thought the problem was Firefox but when I loaded the page in IE it was the same. Anyhow, in case someone will be following this series, let me know when the fun starts. At least they got the 'Hike your pants up'-song available on the site, among other videos. But the real question is: Who's doing Tom Servo's voice? My computer is printing the banner right now.... Do it.

The archive videos are kind of neat but nothing we couldn't see on Youtube.
The short cartoon was weak... very weak, due to both the writing and stiff voice acting. Paul seems almost reluctant as Crow, and not very enthused with the idea.
It seems like a host segment that Trace would have made a lot better, throwing himself into the rant about Kayaks.
And Tom sounded like he was recorded in a barn or something.
I actually hesitate to post this though... I know it seems harsh, but this is my opinion.

On a widescreen laptop monitor, the bottom 1/4 of the site is cut off and can't be scrolled. As for the content, well... hmmm.

It was about what I expected it to be: a cheesy front-end to lure people into the store. But woe to those with anything slower than a cable modem!

OK, I've seen the toon, and have this to say: The writing was good, the style, while it looked kiddy in stills, worked fine for animation, and the new Crow and Servo weren't too bad. Nowhere near as jarring as voice change between Statler and Waldorf that the Muppets just went through. Something tells me I'm into something good.

I thought it was fine. I expect the cartoons will get better. Online animation tends to be hit or miss, but Paul's a funny guy.
What I enjoyed were the old host segments. The Mads on a Date and the Earth vs. Soup are always great.
The store is open, but all the apparel only has the new cartoony graphics. That's disappointing.

So far... It STINKS!
Really, I could barely hear what was being said during the cartoon. Color me unimpressed so far.

I want to like it but, well...
I want to like it. Normally, I'd give one of these web-toons one chance to impress me but I know I'll give Jim and mst3k.com multiple chances, so we'll see.
