Faruk Alatan is my dead-beat dad...and he was in Pod People, he had no reason to live. Pod People is, of course, episode 303.

OOO! OOO! OOO! TRUE STORY TRUE STORY!!!!
When I was in college, a naive hopeful getting my core self trompled in the drama department, our deeply self-hating instructor enlisted a former very famous, currently clinging to hope actor to come and talk to us about the perils of fame, and I have no idea how he met this personage, but that personage was...
wait for it....
APOLLO FROM BATTLESTAR GALACTICA!!!!!!
Yes, 'twas he! He was very funny and self-depriciating of his massive fame, and did not radiate any obvious substance abuses, and HE KEPT LOOKING AT ME through the whole presentation, and afterwards as we clustered round him he SHOOK MY HAND!!!!
AND KISSED ME!!!
ON THE LIPS!!!!!
IN FRONT OF ALL THOSE SNOTHEADS AND TEACHER WHO HATED ME, ME, ME, ME HE KISSED!!!!!!
Sorry, all my friends are sick of this story, and I love telling it, because it was my one brush with true fame and he was so very nice. It's great to see him on the new Battlestar, doing a very good job.
And of course, the use of Battlestar stock footage in Space Mutiny gives me a couple degrees of MST, which is just icing on the cupcake.
I have never met Kevin Bacon but am sure he is very nice also.

I have never met Kevin Bacon but am sure he is very nice also. I have, and he is, actually. That's my degree of Bacon. Unfortunately, I do not know of an MST degree, but I have about five hundred family members in MN/WI, and my people are like bunnies, so there's odds that I may be twistedly related to someone from the show. And I took pictures through Best Brains' window on a Sunday.
