304- Gamera Vs. Barugon
First shown: 6/22/91. Opening: The bots argue the relative merits of computer interfaces. Invention exchange: Soda can animation, disco cumber-bubble-bund. Host segment 1: 5000-piece fightin' men & monster set. Host segment 2: Crow and Tom are midwestern monster women having dinner. Host segment 3: Joel reminisces about movies & big name celebrities. End: Stories from behind the scenes of monster movies, letter. Stinger: Opal guy goes nutzoid.
Memorable riffs: Servo: "You know I THOUGHT he looked familiar."
Servo: "Make sure they have Art Linkletter's picture on them."
Crow: "Even his royal neckbrace says so."
Crow: "Aww, the Road Runner's never gonna fall for this."
Servo: "Hey, it's the start of Bonanza!"
Joel: "Hi there. I'm a juicy new character. Enjoy me. I'm what's known as the complication. The antagonist if you will."
Servo: "Hot child in the city... running wild, looking pretty."
Servo (imitating Marty Feldman): "Well, it could be worse... it could be raining."
Fav. Riff "A monster... can destroy anything with his tongue." Crow: "You try saying that without laughing."
Comments: -I'm watching this on YouTube. The user had to invert the image so it would get past security better. Man it it awkward watching the show this way.
-Servo's head extends during the Invetion Exchange!
-Mannaequin is referenced AGAIN!
-I just love it whenever Joel creates dialogue for a monster character. He didn't do it often unfortunately.
-I almost expected a Prince of Space reference after a character mentions weapons being useless, until I realized POS wasn't riffed until season later.
Best Segment: Servo's monster set bit is funny, and a great parody of those annoying toy commercials of the day. Worst Segment: Segment 2 goes nowhere to die.
Overall: An average episode. Nothing spectacular.
Rating: *1/2

305- Stranded in Space
Host Segments: First shown: 6/29/91. Opening: Joel enjoys a shooting gallery. Invention exchange: Variations of the "BANG" gun. Host segment 1: Crow and Tom fight over their trading cards. Host segment 2: While baking cookies, J&TB discuss "Ward E." Host segment 3: Joel is a TV movie villian, the bots are his henchmen. End: Trying to sell the movie, letter, the Mads are TV movie villians. Stinger: Stryker gets struck!
Memorable riffs: Crow: "... and we ran out of oxygen two days ago."
Servo: "... and wetting."
Servo: "Oh no! They killed Snuggle!"
Servo: "Hey look! They're in the Brady house!"
Fav. riff: Character in movie: "The perfect order..." Servo: "Burgers, fries, and a shake."
Comments: -Two Wizard of Oz references during the opening credits! Ray Bolger is also mentioned during the first scene.
-Servo references the now-forgotten Trapper John series.
-State Park joke: At one point Joel just randomly observes that the main character is running around the hospital barefoot.
-During Segment 1, Joel mispronounces "Danny Bonaduce".
-This movie rivals "Women of the Prehistoric Planet" in having a totally misleading title.
-Why would Servo need to wear a chef's hat while cooking food? I know, I know...
-Sampo thinks fans might have been baffled by Servo name dropping "Mike nelson" towards the end, but I think film buffs might have taken it as a Sea Hunt reference.
Best segment: Not sure why, but the ending segment was VERY funny. Which means this episode seriously ended on a high note.
Worst segment: The whole "Ward E" thing... I dunno.
Overall: Frank Conniff calls this the most forgettable MST3K episode. I'd say I agree with him. This episode really isn't too memorable.
Rating: *1/2

306- Time of the Apes
First shown: 7/13/91.
Opening: It's baseball season on the SOL! Invention exchange: Cellulite phone, miracle baby growth formula.
Host segment 1: Why doesn't Johnny care?
Host segment 2: "Inherit the Wind" revisited. Host segment 3: Ape fashion minute.
End: The Sandy Frank song, letter, Baby pushes the button.
Stinger: "Johnny, you be careful." "I don't care!"
Memorable riffs: J&TB: “Sandy Fraaank! Sandy Fraaaank! Here we go agaaaain!”
Joel: “A little horse for a little monkey!”
Crow: “The people upstairs are dancing again!”
Servo: “It keeps the hot side got, and the cold side cold!”
Fav. Riff: Crow: “And don’t dub with your mouth full!”
Comments: -Joel’s, “Gypsy, you potched up the hole!” never fails to make me chuckle.
-I love the line, “I don’t want to be killed by a monkey!” from the movie.
-Random trivia fact about "Inherit the Wind". It was co-written by Robert E. Lee (no, not THAT Robert E. Lee!), who was the husband of Janet Waldo, the voice of Judy Jetson!
-Sampo says the mask Servo wears during the Sandy Frank song is disturbing. I don’t know, it looks kinda cute to me.
Best segment: The "Inherit the Wind" sketch rocks! Worst segment: Invention Exchange flops.
Overall: This is such a goofy movie, and lots of great riffing. A step up from the last two shows.
Rating: ***

307- Daddy-O With short: Alphabet Antics First shown: 7/20/91.
Opening: Marketing mad dogs around the water cooler.
Invention exchange: Alien teething nook, air freshener mobile.
Host segment 1: Song: "Hike Your Pants Up." Host segment 2: Drag race reenactment.
Host segment 3: Joel attempts a spit-take lesson, but the dumb guy from the movie keeps appearing on the Hexfield.
End: "Want some?" (slap, bam, thump), letter & the button doesn't work.
Stinger: "Couldn't help ya if I wanted to, fella. Gym policy."
Memorable riffs from short: Crow: “It’s a CHILD farm!”
(Shot of a fat bear balloon) Servo: “Here comes Louie Anderson!”
(Two hippos go swimming in a pool) Servo: “Hey! It’s Tom and Roseanne!”
Servo: “Y is for Yawning as far as I’m concerned.”
Fav. Riff from short: Servo: “You vill dance vith me, Eva!”
Memorable riffs from movie: Guy: “I know that chick!” Crow: “It’s your sister, you dope!”
Servo (after looking at the male and female leads): “Okay, now whose breasts are bigger?”
Character in Movie: “You saw my skid marks?” Servo: “On my underwear.”
Crow: “Well, back to Catburglar School.”
"I heard you worked at a carnival." Crow: "Yeah, bit the heads off chickens."
Fav. Riff from Movie: Crow: “You can’t walk out on me, I’m Charles Foster Kane!”
Comments: -The fan copy I watched on YouTube is missing the first 10 minutes. Viacom took down the first video. No, they don’t own MST3K, why do you ask?
-The short was made by Castle Films. They became notorious for distributing Universal’s Woody Woodpecker shorts, and changing the titles. For funsies, I guess.
-The narrator of the short kinda sounds like a young June Foray.
-Granted, cats aren’t the most expressive of animals, but those cats dressed up in outfits look SO pissed off! I’d be too.
-Is Jack McClure any relation to Marc McClure?
-We get the first of at least two songs on the show that are about pants.
Best Segment: Hike you pants up! Worst segment: Segment 3 has a big build up... but no satisfying pay-off.
Overall: Pretty snappy episode. Rating: ****

308- Gamera Vs. Gaos
First shown: 7/27/91.
Opening: Raspy voices.
Invention exchange: Self image printers, fax tissue dispenser.
Host segment 1: Joel offers an arts and crafts project, Crow and Tom are no help.
Host segment 2: The "Gameradamerung" never gets off the ground.
Host segment 3: Ed Sullivan presents "Gaos the Great."
End: Other ways to snuff Gaos.
Stinger: Comic relief guys get scared.
Memorable riffs: Joel: “Do you think Japanese people make fun of American names?” Servo: “I suppose so.”
Crow: “Bless you… wait, was he mooing?”
Joel: “Maybe Gamera can fix that boy’s teeth.”
Crow: “You look at it, I’m bitter.”
Kid: “GAMARA! GAAAAAMAAAARRRRAAAAA!!!! Hurray up, and get well!” Crow: “OKAY! I’m in the tub!”
Servo: “I thank the Lord for the night time!”
Crow: “I forgot, I’m a hand puppet…”
Joel: “I like how suddenly the kid’s in authority.”
Fav. Riff: Crow: “Yeah, I’m sending over a couple of blood donors.”
Comments: -Is it just me, or does Magic Voice sound sexy with a raspy voice?
-One of the dubbers’ voices kind of sounds like Howie Morris to me. I wonder if it’s him.
-MST3K foresaw a lot of things. “Rick-Rolling”, South Park, and Packers winning the Super Bowl. In this episode they make another prediction: HD Television!
-I like how whenever Gamera growls, Crow growls with it.
-What is Servo’s “Don’t you do it! I got nowhere else to go!” a reference to? He’s used it in a couple other episodes.
-Great bit of movie interaction. At the end when Gamera spins his body to take off, Joel sticks his finger underneath Gamera, making it look like he’s spinning a plate.
Best Segment: No segment really stands out. I found most of them to be fast-forward moments. The Invention Exchange doesn’t get picked much, and the Self-Image Printer was a great gag, so I’ll pick that segment. Worst Segment: Segment 2 goes absolutely NOWHERE. Yes, I realize that was the whole point of the joke, but still…
Overall: An average episode. Not especially memorable. **1/2

309- The Amazing Colossal Man First shown: 8/3/91. Opening: Crow and Tom are in their fort. Invention exchange: A plant that reviews music, non-permanent tattoos. Host segment 1: Nice things to say to Glen's fiancee. Host segment 2: Joel agonizes about being a 50-foot man. Host segment 3: The bots wonder what they'd ask Glen, then he visits. End: What Glen could've done, letters, giving Frank the giant hypo. Stinger: Glen laughing 'til it hurts.
Memorable Riffs: Servo: “Russ Bender. He takes a lot of sick days.”
Crow: “Yeah, it’ll help talking about old Pizza Face.”
“Your name is the only word he spoke.” Servo: ‘Well, that and AUUUUURGGHHHHH!!!”
(Nurse checks under sheets) Servo: “Well, SOMETHING’S bigger than expected.”
(A house being blown up is shown in a filmstrip) Servo: “There was a family of twelve in here. I should have told them to leave.”
Servo: “Wait, the government’s involved in a cover-up? How could that be?”
Crow: “Whoops! Sorry, wrong bone growth!”
Joel: “Oh my God! I’m a huge Daddy Warbucks!”
Fav. Riff: Crow: “Hey, there's a 50 foot guy. But he has hair, so it can't be Glen."
Comments: -Crow does a “Scare Me” joke. Not the first time he does it.
-Segment 1 shows the bots doing something they rarely did with Joel. Mock the living heck out of him. I’m sure after Commercial Sign, Joel went over and ripped their arms out. They also pummel him a good deal in Segment 2!
-It’s also kind of rare to hear one of the robots disapprove of a joke Joel makes. Servo takes offense to Joel’s Big Bopper impression as a plane in the movie crashes.
-Dirty riff: “Honey, I’m still looking forward to our wedding night.”
-“Hey, Servo? How’d you get your arm to work?” Well, when Servo hovers away from the door, you can see his regular arm, while the arm holding the doll is… isn’t connected to him in anyway. Hmmm.
Best Segment: The Bots taunting Joel in Segment 2 is great. Worst Segment: The Invention Exchange doesn’t have a satisfying pay-off. Overall: A solid season 3 entry. One of my favorite episodes. ****

310- Fugitive Alien
First shown: 8/17/91.
Opening: Old Joel Robinson had a farm?
Invention exchange: Eye, ear, nose & throat dropper, musical chair and Jack Perkins!
Host segment 1: J&TB stage a hat party.
Host segment 2: Joel forces Crow and Tom to reenact a scene from the movie.
Host segment 3: Crow and Tom are confused, so Joel helps out with a screenplay. model.
End: Joel's buttons, letter, torturing Jack Perkins.
Stinger: "AHAHAHAHA....you're STUCK HERE!"
Memorable Riffs: “You’re not a very gracious guest.” Crow: “I brought crackers?”
“Cigar?” Servo: “Yes, it is.”
Joel: “Oh, I gotta lay off the ‘shrooms.”
“That’s Rocky.” Servo: “The flying squirrel.”
Joel: “You’re standing on my chest! I’m not dead!”
Servo: “When Josie and the Pussycats go bad!”
Fav. Riff: “That was no meteorite.” Crow: “That was my wife!”
Comments: - The dropper that Dr. F presents is another MST invention that sort of became real. The droppers are not as complicated as his, but they’re essentially used for eyes, ears, and nose.
- I had forgotten this episode was made before the movie “The Fugitive” starring Harrison Ford. I was confused at first why “Jack Perkins” (played by Mike) mentioned the TV show, but not the movie.
- I love Joel’s “Oh, we got Movie Sign! Who’s Jack Perkins?!”
-Anyone think Crow asking, “Why do they need so many writers for?” is a little hypocritical?
- The fan copy of this episode I’m watching has commercial bumpers with the SOL flying past the screen, an instrumental version of the theme playing, and factoids about various B-movies that were shown on MST3K. The hell? When did The Brains (or Comedy Central) produce these? And, how come I’ve never heard of these bumpers?
-Kevin seems to fumble over his riff about the movie being like an episode of Marooned. Trace quickly assures him, “Yeah, that was cool”, which almost feels like a throw-it-in moment.
-Joel groans at the sight of a zipper. That seems grasping at straws. How else does he expect them to get their space suits off?
-Frank has to “send” commercial sign? I always assumed it was an automatic thing.
-There’s a strange moment in the film, where the female attendant is ordered, “Take charge of the prisoner!” The prisoner is right there with them, unconscious. We hear a dubbed “Yes sir!” and the actress turns around and runs off, as if she’s about to run off the set, and then she comes back! A goof that was left in? It’s also weird how J&TB don’t notice it.
Best Segment: I’d say Segment 2. I always liked it when Joel seems like he was off his nut a little. Worst Segment: Segment 1.
Overall: Decent episode. **1/2

311- It Conquered the World Opening: Joel uses Crow as a ventriloquist dummy. Invention exchange: Hanged man costumes, the "Sony Seaman." Host segment 1: Tom narrates "The Winter Cavalcade of Fun." Host segment 2: Sarcastic banter over dinner. Host segment 3: J&TB discuss how James Arness and Peter Graves were able to get along in Hollywood, then sing of celebrity siblings with different last names. End: J&TB rewatch Peter Graves' speech, letters, the Mads are watching it too. Stinger: "He learned too late that a man is a feeling creature..."
Memorable Riffs from Short: Joel: “From where I come from they arrest flashing blades.”
Narrator: “Beauty, grace, and rhythm…” Servo: “You won’t find them here.”
Servo: “I smell a class action suit around the corner!”
Memorable riffs from movie: [Title “It Conquered the World” appears] Servo: “They’re giving away the ending!”
Joel: “Honey, would you get that crow out of the fridge? I’m gonna make them eat it.” Crow: “What?”
Crow: “I’ll just bury you for a little snack later.”
Servo: “It thinks I’m Teppi Hedren!”
Crow: “Oh, just get a pair of scissors and cut the sting!”
[Peter Graves shoots his possessed wife] Crow: “I was kidding!”
Joel: “That’s a mighty big chicken, isn’t it, Corky?”
[Graves finds dead female scientist on the ground, in her nightgown] Crow: “Darn! I always miss the good parties!”
[Graves shoots the three possessed scientists] Servo: “Um, you all were bad guys, weren’t you?”
Crow: “Woah! Never put a bazooka on your crotch like that!”
Fav Riff from Short: Crow: “Let’s talk about shrinkage shall we?”
Fav. Riff from Movie: Servo: “Boy, it was a mission impossible for him to drive that stick!"
Comments: -Doesn’t Joel realize that when or if he gets down to Earth, and were to use Crow as a puppet, he could not move his lips at all while Crow talks, since he can talk on his own? It’d be cheating, but still.
-Frank mentions “Mannequin” during the Invention Exchange. At least one of the Brains was really obsessed with this movie at this point.
-During the bob sledding scene from the short, Joel channels the Wizard of Oz again with “Help us! We don’t know how it works!”
-Is Joel’s riff, “Say, whose line is that, anyway?” supposed to be a shout out to “Whose Line is it, Anyway?’ Around this time Comedy Central was only running the Series 1 episodes, so I guess the Brains would have been aware of it by now.
-“Hey, that’s James Arness!” “No, that’s Peter Graves.” I’m sure it was that riff alone that got Graves steamed at MST3K.
-Note Servo’s riff “Which results in creativity.” A reference to something Joel said in an interview about being weird. They didn’t do self-referential riffs like that often.
-A gross but funny riff. When the monster is shooting out flying… things from the bottom of it’s body, Servo makes grunting and sighing noises.
-When we first see Dick Miller, is his voice dubbed over by another actor? That sure doesn’t sound like his voice. It isn’t until after Graves shoots his wife, that Miller’s voice actually sounds like it usually does with that thick New York accent.
-A joke about Scientology? Wow, MST3K got away with just about everything didn’t they?
-Am I the only person that was actually exposed to Peter Graves first, and didn’t know who James Arness was for many years? Then again, I never watched Gunsmoke until just a couple years ago.
-I like how Joel just openly admits that the movie is short, and they need to pad the experiment out. They should have used love. : P
-Crow calls Linda Evans a vixen. I think his opinion will change after seeing “Mitchell”.
-Did Corman really think no one would notice that shot of Beverly Garland walking through the cave being used twice?
Best Segment: I think Segment 1, with the Winter Cavalcade of Fun was the funniest. Worst Segment: Hm. Tough call. None of the host segments stood out for me. I want to say Segment 3. The song is one of the weaker ones they've done. Plus the lead-in with the Arness/Graves comparison is pretty cringeworthy and not really funny (especially since Graves recently passed away).
Overall: Although most of the host segments aren't very good IMO, the riffing in the theater is top-notch. One of the best out of Season 3. ***1/2

312- Gamera Vs. Guiron
Memorable Riffs: Servo: “Wait! I said lunch, not launch!”
Servo: (During a long close-up of Gamera) Crow: “I’m done! There’s nothing more I can do! Pan off me!”
Crow: (During a shot of an elaborate planet set) “Well, here’s a hundred million yen well spent.
Crow: “I know, I know. Don’t laugh. They made me in a hurry.”
Servo: “I bet he listens to Mack the Knife!”
Servo: “Hey, look! Her biological clock’s going off!”
Crow: “Cops was filmed on location at the Winchell’s doughnut shop!”
Joel: “You can spank us now!”
Mother: “I’ll spank Tom! 30 times as punishment!” Servo: “I’m Tom!”
“My legs!” Crow: “They’re great!”
Favorite Riff: Crow: “Boy, he had to go like Seabiscuit.”
Comments: - Before the invention exchange starts, Joel is cleaning the inside of Servo’s head. A rarity to see Servo with the top red cap off.
-About 15 minutes into the first theater segment, Crow’s arm falls off, and Joel puts it back on. What’s interesting is they don’t miss a beat, and continue riffing, like nothing else is happening. I know this happened frequently during the host segments, but I don’t think anything like this ever happened during a theater segment.
-Whenever Joel dances, he seems to always do the monkey. Does he know any other dance moves?
-I’m hoping the constant referring to the alien planet, as “a star” is just a dubbing error. Otherwise, the filmmakers Fail Astrology Forever.
-In Segment 2, we see the other end of Gypsy’s body! Is this the first time they’ve shown it?
-I think this is also the first time (to my recollection) that Crow refers to his “net” as his “hair”
-Missed Riff Opportunity: You know all those triangles on the aliens’ spaceship wall? They remind me of the Triforce. J&TB could have made a “Legend of Zelda” reference, but they don’t.
-During the Richard Burton segment, Servo says, “You laughed your ass off!” I think that’s the most vulgar statement they’ve ever made at this point in the show. It sounds wildly out of place. Also, during this segment “Mannequin” is mentioned again!
Best Segment: The “sawing a robot in half” segment was great. I didn’t see the twist coming at all, really. Worst Game: The Richard Burton segment goes on too long and is actually pretty boring. Overall: A good episode. Fun, not great riffing, but a decent episode. Rating is **1/2

Good grief, has it been 3 years since I reviewed an episode! I really gotta change that. 313- Earth Vs. The Spider With short: Using Your Voice (from Satellite news) Opening: Crow hosts Tom in “Inside The Robot Mind.”
Invention exchange: The Mads have invented the cheese phone, while Joel shows off his CD blow drier
Host segment 1: J&tB read through Crow’s screenplay, “Earth vs. Soup”
Host segment 2: A rehearsal of J&tB’s rock band Spidorr brings a visit, on the Hexfield, from the custodian of 7th galaxy
Host segment 3: J&tB discuss Creeple People and other dangerous but fun toys
End: Crow and Tom present their reports on Bert I. Gordon, Tom reads a letter, Frank is sick
Stinger: From the short, lip and tongue action, of a sort. Fav. Riff from short: Servo: “Don’t open beer bottles with your teeth!” Memorable riffs from movie: Crow: “I put my money on the spider.” Servo: “No spiders were squished, stepped on, flushed, or made to suffer any emotional distress during the making of this film. One spider did die of old age, we have two letters from doctors confirming this.” Servo: “I’m guessing the film is not about him.” Servo: “Oh, that’s just my dead father. Wait, my dead father?! Nooooooo!!!!” Joel: “This looks like the hideout of Mr. Freeze!” Crow: “Hello. Rock-stupid cops.” Servo: “He died as he lived, with jelly all over his face.” Joel: “I don’t want you getting bad grades just because Dad’s wormfood.” Sheriff: “Operator, I’ve been cut off…” Crow: “By the bartender more times than you can count!” Joel: “You know, it just dawned on me, maybe someone was in that cave…” Servo: “Thank you, Yukon Cornelius!” Fav. Riff from movie: Servo: “Assistant technical effects? Uh, honey? Hand me that Tonka truck.” Comments: - With the large exception of the letter reading segments, the opening segment is one of VERY few times one of the characters mentions the name of the show. - When Joel reaches to tap the button to answer the Mads, his hand completely misses the button. - Frank mentions Gerry and Sylvia during the Invention Exchange. -When they enter the theater the first time, Kevin doesn’t get good hold of Servo when Joel hands him the puppet, and Servo falls under the seat. As usual, they don’t miss a beat. -It may be a little dated, but the short needs to be shown at workplace orientations. It’s sorely needed. -The host of the short explains that the woman in the sample is hard to understand. I didn’t have much trouble understanding her. I thought the tone of her voice was awkward though. -I love how during the close-up of the guy’s mouth, Crow just has this dumbstruck look. Also love J&TB’s reaction to, “Use plenty of tongue and lip action.” -During Segment 1, when they’re first going over Crow’s script, Servo’s arms move. On the “Servo Vs. Servo” interview, Kevin mentions how they made his arms move sometimes to add more “expression”, but instead it wound up being distracting. I agree with him. Seeing Servo’s arms move around kind of draws your attention to them, and not with what’s going on in the skit. -At one point, Servo does a very raspy “I’m Batman” joke. I know he’s supposed to be doing Michael Keaton, but the fact Servo says it gravelly is hilarious in hindsight. -So, apparently Dr. Erhardt was killed by a giant spider… -Crow’s comment in Host Segment 2 “KISS were never cool” always gets a chuckle out of me. -The fan letter is somewhat harsh in hindsight since the fan says he wishes for the show to last longer, which it obviously did, but Servo’s comment “It’s long enough” kinda stings since Comedy Central execs eventually started thinking the same thing. Best Segment: The “Earth Vs. Soup” segment was probably the best one. Worst Segment: Segment 3 is way too talky, and really has no payoff. Overall: This episode is alright. Not great, but not a dud either. **1/2 stars.

314- Mighty Jack Opening: Crisis on the SOL … face!
Invention exchange: The Mads show off the formal flipper; J&tB demonstrate ear-shaped earmuffs
Host segment 1: The bots show Joel their Mighty Jack pet food commercial
Host segment 2: The bots put Joel in the blinding light compartment
Host segment 3: Joel goes off the deep end while suggesting underwater movie ideas
End: J&tB sing “Slow the Plot Down!” and Frank’s quoting Melville, arr.
Stinger: He died as he lived…loving his work.
Memorable riffs:
Servo: “Featuring our all vegetarian dishes…”
Guy on radio: “It’s a beautiful night…” Joel: “… for a moon dance.”
Crow: “We’re getting hemorrhoids!”
Man: “Who is this Atari?” Joel: “He invented Pong.”
Joel: “Hey, Aqua Lung…”
Servo: “It’s the M.C. Escher house!”
Crow: “Oh, no! They hit the Howell’s hut!”
Servo: “And we’d like to welcome you to Collateral Damage Playhouse!”
Joel: “There goes the Ken and Barbie dream home!”
Servo: “Evil Good Humor men!”
Servo: “You named your son Fritz?” Crow: “Try ‘swordfish’.”
Servo: “It’s Disneyland Tokyo!”
Servo: “They beat us, Flopsy. It’s just generic kitty litter from now on.”
Fav. Riff: Joel: “Oh, I was just daydreaming, Doctor!”
Comments: - It sounds like a crew member, or someone off-camera laughs at the end of the opening segment. - Damn….. Trace has some nice legs…. Erm, I mean…. Never mind. - I swear I once saw “Earmuff that look like ears” at a Spencer’s store once. - Joel mistakes “SFX” for “SEX”. Kinda funny, since that’s what some people did in regards to the “SFX” graphic in “The Lion King”. - Funny shadowrama moment: A cigarette in the movie lines up perfectly with Crow’s beak, making it look like he’s smoking in the theater. - Is Gypsy calling Crow “Richard” supposed to be another odd to Richard Basehart? Also, it’s funny that Gypsy has a dog food bowl. - Servo somehow predicts a live-action “Casper” movie, and Joel predicts a live-action “Josie and the Pussycats” movie. Were these guys psychics, or what? - I wonder why “Slow the Plot Down” wasn’t included on the “Clowns in the Sky” CD. And, who wrote this song? There’s no listing in the credits!
Best Segment: Segment 3 is a lot of fun. I always like it when Joel went a little crazy. Worst Segment: Segment 2 is a bore.
Overall: A weak Season 3 entry IMO. A dull movie, and less-than stellar riffing. ** stars.
