Yeah it's pretty good to hear the 3 guys together again, what's funny is the sushi thing turned out to be true, torgospizza wrote about it (in the mst3k LJ community I think it was) at the time.
The next one Battlefield Earth is definitely one of my favourite intros, along with Troll 2.

Firewall, my first step into life after MST3K.
My initial question is: What the hell else did these guys think they were ever going to do?
"Come on, kiss your great-grandpa goodbye."
[Indiana Jones theme] "Da-da-da-da... *huff huff* da-da-da *huff wheeze*"
"Stupid customers! Coming to our airport..."
[bored Ford voice] "I've already soiled myself in anticipation..."
"This movie is so front-heavy with foreshadowing, I'm surprised it doesn't tip over."
"Well, I just watched every Strong Bad Email..." (gotta love the Homestar references)
Jeez, I've been putting off buying Rifftraxes all this time because I thought they would be really lame and half-assed-- didn't know what I'd been missing!
"Sounded like his head was full of change."

Haha, welcome to the fold! I think a few people might also worry that it's kind of complicated, what method did you use to listen to it?

A very, very exacting one that took me about 15 minutes to sync up... from then on, I was very careful about hitting play and pause on my DVD remote and laptop simultaneously. It's not hard, just daunting.

The Matrix. Not as good as Firewall, but it does contain one of my personal top 10 favourite riffs in all of Rifftrax and MST3K: after Cypher kills Switch and Apoc, and then gets killed himself, Tank calls Trinity and Neo to get them out of the Matrix, to which Mike says, "That's either Tank or it's the most ill-timed Morning Show Crazy Call ever." I guess you have to see the dramatic, tragic atmosphere of the scene for that to have full impact.
Mike (as stern agents): "Would you like to join our ska band?"
Kevin: (can't remember exact words) "If I were the building's super, I would demand to know why the builders used pressed dry oatmeal instead of concrete."

Battlefield Earth - A+
I'd like to take a moment to publicly thank Mike Nelson and the Rifftrax folks for helping me realize that newer movies can be really bad movies too. I thought no movie could be worse than Daredevil and along comes Battlefield Earth. Mike, Bill, and Kevin are in top form. These rifftraxs are really working for me. I hope sales are strong enough to keep them coming for many years to come. Surely there will never be a shortage of "riff worthy" flicks.

Star Trek V
My second attempt at this, as the first time was a bust about halfway through when the MP3 CD player we were using just stopped cooperating. Watched it again tonight by myself and a more reliable player, and made it through.
I think I saw this in the theater, and that was probably the last time I watched more than five minutes of it in one sitting. Slow, slow, slow and acting of the solid wood variety. And a plot that's totally nuts, to boot.
The Riffing wasn't bad, but not the strongest Mike and Kevin effort. There were some good lines though: "Anyone need a salty line?" and "Oh great, another scene with Shatner." come to mind. And the campfire singing scene made me laugh out loud.
And I have to admit, I laughed when Disembaudio synched up the movie in Klingon. Funny.
Good Rifftrax for a Star Trek fan, but might bore a casual viewer.

Since I only get an hour on the library computer. I never have any real time to write a decent review anymore. But one day I'll get to these 4.
Daredevil, Battlefield Earth, Troll and Star Trek VI were all drop dead hysterical! Troll was like the classic bad movies from the MST days and that was real nice to get back to. Of them all Trek VI got me laughing the hardest. The huge guffaws never ended for me and it might very well be my new all time favorite.

Finally got the chance to watch Aeon Flux, hmm didn't really click for me. A few good riffs but I didn't really feel it was firing on all cylinders. Mind you, it took me way to long to mix the audio due to goldwave being a pain in the ass, and I might not have been in the right frame of mind to enjoy it. Maybe more next time.
I don't know when I will be able to watch The Wicker Man as it isn't even released in NZ yet.

Got my reviews up for Daredevil, Battlefield Earth and Star Trek VIOf the three featuring Bill, Kev and Mike. #1 is Star Trek VI. This is now my all time favorite Rifftrax. I never stopped laughing. #2 Daredevil. Another work of art. Great riffing from start to finish. #3 Battlefield Earth. This one didn't blow me away like the others. It starts off slow, ebbs and flows before finishing strong. Not one of my top 10, but many highlights never the less.
