Sorry. I'm really not trying to beat you to the punch. Its just that I usually have both forums open at the same time.

Was anyone really offended by the idea that extinction of marine life = a bad thing? Yeah. Marine life pretty much just belongs on my damn dinner plate.

*looks at sample* I'll wait until I get my DVD of ST:VI out of storage. I still don't see the point of riffing this movie. Especially, when there's a big, juicy "There's a man on the wing of the plane!" opportunity just waiting in Star Trek: Nemesis. In fact, I'm really starting to wonder about all of the decent movies they chose to do. Why Halloween? Why not Halloween 4 (JC from Sidehackers is in it) or Halloween III: Season of the Witch - which started out pretty good but then came the androids.... You want a John Carpenter movie? How about his Village of the Damned? And Lord of the Rings and The Fifth Element? What's next, Blade Runner? What about the Tom Cruise debacile The War of the Worlds? Or that god-awful remake of The Time Machine? Even the last two Alien sequels make more sense. How about pissing off the Browncoats and riffing on Serenity? I don't know...

Well damn if I don't have an ancient ST VI laserdisc in storage. I knew that thing would come in handy someday.

This is the one Star Trek movie I never got around to seeing.
But now that I know Change is partially responsible for its existence, I am happy to give it my patronage.

Personally i would love it if they went after worst movies then that. Like i dont know. Like Street Fighter the movie. BloodRayne or any Uwe Boll movie, Catwomen, Batman and Robin. Some Van Damn movies or anyother films you can find at the 1$ bin at walmart. Personally i really would rather see them do really really bad god awful films then decent films like Star Trek 6, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings.

I will never understand people's insistance that they go after only 'bad' movies. MST3K went after bad movies. Rifftrax simply goes after movies. They are not the same, nor should they be. I'm glad to see the good, the bad, and the ugly all get evenly riffed. Rebel, if I can take LOTR getting riffed, then you can deal with ST:VI.

I remember seeing this in the theaters with my dad (who was a huge Star Trek fan) when it first came out. I really liked the movie, but I also liked seeing it from another perspective. lol I also found the jokes really weren't making fun of the movie per say.. Just the outlandish characters.. (and accents lol)
