Oh, not entirely. I prefer Trace to Bill, but I prefer Mike over Joel. And if we're comparing current teams (Mike/Bill/Kevin, Joel/Frank/Trace/Josh/Mary Jo and, I suppose, Jim/Paul) then I feel much more comfortable with the ol' Film Crew. (No offense to Mary Jo intended, of course.) Also, I much prefer Bill as Bill, as opposed to Bill as Crow. In fact, he often has the funniest Rifftrax lines, in my opinion. I see. I was just a bit surprised, I'd guessed a bit differently about your taste. You don't know me!

With a Mac , such as I got , I simply go to Window in the menu-bar , click on Activity , find it accumulating it MB's , and click on that line . Viola ! , she's downloading . Do all you dopes with PCs have such a thing ? The ability to download from YouTube or Google video ? Or is there another way the Stars Wars Holiday will be available ? ( interesting that the lure of this has the RiffTrax crew forgoing the "easy to obtain" status of most of their choices, no ? ) There is no really easy way to download from YouTube on a PC, but Google Video has a button right next to the video to download. I've spent a lot of time on Macs though and I never realized there was such an easy way to do it there. Yeah , it's not commonly known really. I just happened to find this on a Apple Discussions thread , I believe. As for the converting also mentioned , from YouTube you get merely a file saying "Get Video" to which you add the .flv. I went thru the trouble of getting iSquint for conversion purposes , only to later realize that you simply drop it into QuickTime and save it. . . . boom !, a .mov .

I don't know. I'd say Google Video is pretty easy to obtain.
Also, I think you need the full version of Quicktime in order to do that.

Oh yes, QuickTime Pro I got ! but, but . . . what about the route RifftTrak has gone this time , mmh ? Is there a common source for this ? I'll post in a minute on this , but it looks like the Google video version is . . . .wait. . . yup ! it's a 5 hour , 18 minute and 2 second file ! At 134 we go to commercial , still frames appear for over an hour , a brief bit of the special , and it "ends" near that 5 hour mark . I ran it thru Norton Anti-Virus and it seems ok , but what is this mess ? How long's the original special ?? & are there other sources ?

The special is 2 hours, as is the Google video version. It must have been some error in your downloading or something.
The Google Video version is the one they talk about in the description on Rifftrax.com. The fan-made scrolling text at the beginning gives it away.
"Mess" is still a good description, though.

So they tackle it with commercials too ? That's likely to be tons more fun then the special !! Can't imagine tho' , what " error in downloading or something." would cause still frames from commercials to last 90 minutes !

Is this serious? Oh...my...god. This means I have to watch the Cirque de Solie guy frolicking again. Some background information on this: It was shown one time only on November 17, 1978 on CBS. George Lucas only approved one viewing of it sight unseen and was so upset over what had happened once he was shown the result that he has never released it to be shown again anywhere, ever again. He has commented that if he had a sledgehammer and the time he would personally hunt down and smash every copy in existence. The show was produced by a couple of CBS variety show hacks who rewrote Lucas script and it certainly shows. Carrie Fisher was so stoned out of her mind during the production she professes no recollection of ever doing the show. The only thing worthwhile in this whole train wreck is the introduction of Bota Fett in a cartoon insert. Most Star Wars fans consider this canon. This is one I am going to have to watch in altered states to bear up under the strain. Better make up a GALLON of gluhwein w/brandy!

Not sure if this is mentioned yet, but this is due out on December 10th. For those of you using the Google flash file, here is a tutorial on how to convert the FLV to MPEG using the Riva FLV encoder: forum.videohelp.com/topic259578.html

Wow, never thought I'd see the day. I've never seen the special, but I've heard the stories. Aside from the format hassle, this should be a blast. Interesting. I've always kind of wondered how to do this anyway. If I can get this to work this will be one of the grandest Rifftrax of all.

Oh man, a couple weeks ago me and some friends looked this thing up, and I'm pretty sure it was the best/worst two hours of our lives. I can't wait for the RiffTrax! ;D
