No, they all suck differently. Revenge of the Sith was ok on first viewing but the only good thing that can be said about it was that it was better than Phantom and Clones. That's not much of an accomplishment. RotS is also better much than Jedi. THAT'S the only Star Wars movie that really dashed my expectations, which were very, very high after waiting 3 years for it after the amazing Empire. I pretty much agree with that. In fact, episodes 3, 4, and 5 are the only ones I really like nowadays. Realistically, I think nostalgia adds a lot to the original Star Wars movies - episodes 4 & 5 are great fun, but there's no way I could call them great cinema. There was a lot wrong with episode 3, but at heart I don't think it was *that* different from the older films.

Easy question for me, RAD...
After years of waiting, my favorite football team the Seattle Seahawks FINALLY get to a Super Bowl (XL).... And the refs are TERRIBLE. Plus, it was in Detroit in February.
I STILL TO THIS DAY have people come up to me (after they find out I am a Seahawk fan) and say what a rip off Super Bowl XL was to the Seahawks. Fans from all other NFL teams.
Maybe it wasn't so much delayed, but talk about Expectations Dashed? For me, that was it.

What ?, now all 3 suck equally ?? No, I meant the buildup of expectations didn't match the quality of the films. Oh Good , this and the next couple posts show a variety of opinions ( slightly ). I thought Mr.Atari was tossing all 3 prequels into the same heap ! Having never participated in any flame warring of any kind, I was worried I was stumbling backwards into a subject that would hijack this thread completely, but it seems to be under control ! This one is a biggie for a couple generations , so the force can be strong with it as long as the whole thread doesn't go over to the . . . . well . .. yeah.

About a year or so ago there was a big announcement about plans for a new express train from Penn Station in New York to Atlantic City in New Jersey. I was really excited to hear this, because I love Atlantic City. I don't go there as often as I would like to because I don't drive, and I'm not wild about taking a bus two-and-a-half hours each way. The train was supposed to be ready by December 2007, but there has been no news about it. It's disappointing. Then again, maybe it's not such a bad thing that I can't get to Atlantic City easily.

Oh, and I'm still waiting for the Kids in the Hall to actually tour. They said they would do it when I saw them two years ago... still waiting... but hopefully this spring!

This one is a biggie for a couple generations , so the force can be strong with it as long as the whole thread doesn't go over to the . . . . well . .. yeah. Like Anakin going from Sith Lord flunky to child killer, these things can occur quite suddenly and without prior motivation."He's killing the younglins. He's so evil." He ain't evil, he's just in love and he doesn't know how to control himself. {Did that even make sense to Lucas or was he just trying to write the script with random but cool looking words?} Thread hijack! To say that Revenge of the Sith is better than Return of the Jedi is just wrong. It's more than wrong, it's evil. Not the Sith Lord "Lust for power"' evil. we're talkng about "Jabba the Hutt feeding guys to his pet monsters just for his own perverse pleasure" kind of evil. The kind of evil that can really make that muscle in the back of your throat feel really underappreciated. I do think Return of the Jedi was worth the hype it was given unlike Sith {Even though I was young, I looked forward to Jedi}. Jedi had reveals, it had action and it had redemption {Still an awesome scene, completely ruined by that hack in the redo. Did Vader die a Jedi or not?}. Ewoks are wrong but we've gotten past that, thanks in large part to a whole planet of Jar Jars. Oh, and it was neither directed or written by Lucas. That's gotta be worth something.

That wasn't bad play calling, that was a payoff... period! When people got in a tizzy about that Basketball ref taking bribes, I was like, Puuleeze, you think this is the first and only guy to do this. You might as well watch wrestling with Groucho, it's all a fix. F--- Sports! Um as to the ??. for me it was all those Beatles reunion talks, For years and years there were talks. And it doesn't help that it might have happened but Paul and John just wouldn't give an inch (paul would want to and John would be a bitch about it. If John was in the mood, Paul would balk.... big babies. lol) I know there are some that didn't care for Free As a Bird etc, but I loved them. It moved and thrilled me. If there ever had been a reunion concert there's no amount of money I wouldn't have paid, no amount of scheming I'd have done to go to that.

Kevin Smith's Daredevil/Bullseye: The Target #1 came out in November '02. The second issue has yet to be released. Probably never will.

When HBO canceled Deadwood season IV they said that they'd make two films to wrap it all up, but I've heard nothing so far. : (
And Twin Peaks still disappoints me to this day.

I'm with braindeadzombie: Return of the Jedi was a great film and a good end to the saga. The prequels were the massive let-downs, for me. All of them. They got progressively better as they went on, but they were still absolute crap. Alternatively, the end of Jedi gets me everytime. The Luke/Vader stuff is amazing, and Lando and Ackbar and-
Ugh. If only Lucas hadn't copy-and-pasted Hayden Christenboring over Vader's ghost. Grrr.

Green, REM's first major label release after releasing great music on the indie IRS label. Downloaded Oozing Skull last night courtesy of EZTakes and watched it this AM. Wasn't disappointed.
