Last night I've dedicated a bookshelf to all existing and upcoming MST3k DVDs (plus my Ed Wood collection and the Legend Films/Nelson releases). The shelf is adorned with the Crow statue and the case itself is flanked by two film posters (un-MiSTied movies Doctor Mordrid and Trancers) signed by Laserblast producer Charles Band (I'm a huge Full Moon Films fan, they occupy the shelf below). ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Anyone else notice they forgot to include the First Season Theme Song in the Variations of a Theme Song Retrospect?

Anyone else notice they forgot to include the First Season Theme Song in the Variations of a Theme Song Retrospect? I caught that! I'm surprised they didn't! I was all like "Where Dr. Laurence Erhardt at?" It couldn't have been a rights issue or lack of space on the dvd, could it?

Most likely an oversight. Quality controlled by someone unfamiliar with the show.

Quality controlled by someone unfamiliar with the show. Explains why all my discs are labeled "Mysterious Sci-Fi Tweeter 2000"

Ya know, I'm glad that SHout Factory released new episodes and all, but SHout REALLY has to learn how to make the chapter breaks... they're so sporatic! At least Rhino knew how to make their chapters.

At least Rhino knew how to make their chapters. Chapter WHAA?! I watch David Lynch films... I don't know what this chapter break thing is. ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) I LOVE the documentary... I too noticed the lack of 1st season intro... The packaging is gorgeous (yes hard to get into the tin but meh) The covers of the individual dvd cases is outstanding. It REALLY brings back the feel of the show and the feel of a "bad movie theatre company" I think it's the fact that it says MST3k "presents" each movie, it reminds me of an old local theater that would "present" their midnight movie specials. MST3k is the HOST of the bad movies. Ahh nostalgia. Anyways, love the set... looking forward to a Servo figure (I could happily pass on Crow for Servo)... and I love the care and quality of everything from package to menus to mastering. Thank you Shout!

Did anyone else find the audio on the Werewolf dvd to be mixed kind of badly? It seems like at the beginning, especially, I could barely hear mike and the bots riffing...

The packaging is gorgeous (yes hard to get into the tin but meh) Try what I did: Take the slim cases out of the cardboard box and place them in the tin, then take the cardboard box and hide it behind your row of MST3K DVDs. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

I just watched my copy of Werewolf tonight and the sound mixing was great. I did not notice any problems at all. I read your post before watching the episode as well so I was looking for it.

Mmm, no problems with hearing the riffs on Werewolf for me either. The opening music in the movie was loud but it was like that when it aired and I could clearly pick up each riff. As for the 1st season theme. Were the lyrics different? It seemed liked they went with ones that had different lyrics and I don't have a season 1 ep nearby to check. And good idea with the discs. Course knowing me I'll lose the cardboard box, but I've already torn it trying to pull it out of the tin. I do hope we do get a Servo figure one day. Oh and when they release Devil Doll I want a little Mike as Hugo figure in a cage. ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

Well, we'll always have the Crawling Hand (or Women of the Prehistoric Planet for those who snatched up Vol 9) to fill that void of the missing intro on official DVD.
