i always look forward to the h'ween eps, to see who dresses up as what. angela as nancy reagan - WIN. kevin as charlie brown - why are they just doing this now??pam - cinderella doctor - lame jim - men in black - lamer what was darryl supposed to be? erin was darling as a puppy, of course, and i found andy oddly hot as george michael. dwight's pig nose was great - only thing i've seen better was when he wore the elf ears that one christmas episode. but the best was a tie between creed's bloodstained shirt - the icing on the cake was him calling it "good timing" - and nellie as sexy toby. the way he leaned in to kiss - himself - that was one of toby's finest moments. that, and when it was ruined for him when nellie went back to herself. i love toby. they are trying too hard for andy to be a michael clone - getting upset over silly crap and disrupting the whole office over it. but then again, what do we want? for him to be competent and efficient at his job? i'm sure it's been great pressure on ed helms to try and not imitate steve carell, but impossible not to. interesting that andy got fired up over leaving - taking erin with him - and that his parents are now broke. it could be a hoot to see poor andy. not poor andy, as in poor baby, now he's broke. poor andy, as in he's eating ramen noodles three times a day for the foreseeable future. and steven colbert!?? that was AWEsome! it was like a dream come true listening to him sing faith. and wow - watching pam tear into jim. nice touch that she was in the middle of all the backstreet boys wanna be's. i just wish jim would stand UP to her for once! and kinda sad to see dwight admit he needs help. but it meant getting to watch him smear peanut butter on his face, so i'm conflicted. meredith had possibly the best line: STOP BAGGING MY HEAD! EDIT: how could i forget dwight's pumpkin head!!? that might have been the funniest part of the episode. ^that was definitely the funniest moment for me - pumpkin head dwight, looking like the loneliest pumpkin head that ever was, in the breakroom.

Okay...enough already. Each week Andy morphs more into Michael. "The Whale" That whole boat scene was right outta "Survival Man"...Sea 02. HEY, IT'S JAN! I was NOT expecting that. Rather than review, I'd like to speculate on the remainder of the season... Jim is obviously being pushed out of his place in this "Sports Capital Venture" he created. I think he and Pam will move to NY were Pam will find a lucrative career as a graphic artist, and Jim will become a "househusband". The jig is up with Oscar and the Senator...they will fight bitterly and then the Senator will 'come outta the closet' and become a national figure along with his 'partner' Oscar Martinez. Angela is heartbroken (well, as heartbroken as Angela could be) and seeks consoling from Dwight. They will fall back in love (if they ever fell out of it), and it will be revealed that Angela's baby is INDEED Dwight's spawn, and that Angela used her "Senatorial Wife" powers to falsify the paternity test taken last season. Her and Dwight take up residence at Schrute Farms, and begin to try to get ratings with their spin-off. Erin will dump Andy after he is captured by Somali Pirates and forced to become a concubine for the tribal chief. Erin will take up with "New Jim", and they will move down to Florida where Erin can go work for Georgette again. Stanley will retire and spend the rest of his life juggling his wife and his mistress(es). Meridith will get sober and become an alcohol and drug counselor. Creed will hide in the building, and will go to work for the next tenant. "New Dwight" becomes Jan's sex slave, and will be sleeping on the little couch at the end of the bed. I know I haven't covered everyone, but there's still sweeps weeks coming up.

i can see it...i can totally see creed hiding in the building - like for months - before someone else moves a business in. but what of phyllis and bob vance of vance refrigeration? i sense a sex scandal between those two.
and it was great to see jan again. ...that one night...

did anyone see the christmas ep? not bad. some parts were pretty funny, imo. dwight as belsnickel was AWEsome. i liked how genuinely happy & excited jim was to get the traditional pennsylvania dutch christmas from him. angela forgot to plan a party! i guess it's understandable since she just found out about her husband and oscar gaying each other and all. i hated seeing oscar all sniveling and scared around her, but couldn't blame him for it either. when is andy coming back?? even though erin is not my favorite character, i would have been hella pissed to find out from a text that my boyfriend was delaying his trip home to "think about life." i want her and new jim to get together. i think new jim is adorable. what happened to new dwight? did i miss something? i have missed the last couple of shows. kevin loves hog momma - that cracked me UP. i want to call everything hog momma now. plus, i agree with his theories on mini-cupcakes. the funniest part for me was when dwight began judging everyone who got either a really useless gift like jars or something or a smack (SMACK) with his whip. especially when he started beating the hell out of jim. that was great. i like how you know how much dwight secretly depends on jim and needs him, even though he hides it in the most dysfunctional and hilarious ways. lots of funny moments - ^that HAD to be mose - love it. and how about THIS? i loved the only way nellie could get toby to shut up about the scranton strangler was to make out with him. i'm just happy it appears toby is about to get some - i can see them as a great couple. and darryl - i LOVE drunk darryl!

You know, it wasn't bad, but it just didn't do it for me like many of the previous Christmas party episodes did.
I did like Dwight as Bellsnickle, but even that was pushing the envelope as far as goofiness goes. You raised good questions, spice, and just to add another one more question - is Angela over Oscar's affair with her husband? She seems to have recovered from a rather traumatic incident quickly enough to be concerned about an office Christmas party.
Thought Jim was in trouble with Daryl for a second. Glad it turned out well.
Not great, but it could have been better.

Okay, my two pennies... LOVED Dwight as Bellsnickle...but agree with Mod on the goofiness. They went a long way to tell us what we already know...Dwight and Jim are FRIENDS. And they care about each other. Duh, writers, if we haven't gotten that by now, I guess you made it CLEAR in the last season. Is that what this season is gonna be about? Re-affirming relationships and characters we're already accustomed to? Or a changing of all we've known before just to be 'outta the box'. This show does have a history of character devolving, though. Spicey: New Dwight was sacrificed to Jan in the previous episode. Speaking of which, did I miss one? Was there an episode between this one and Angela finding out about Oscar/Hubby? Seems like a HUGE gap...? Oh, and Spicey, that wasn't Mose...although at the time I thought it might be, it's that new warehouse guy whose been hanging out...wanted to knit something for Darryl awhile back or something...he keeps popping up here and there...if you look closely during the party, he's got some of the black face still on his neck...lol. Great sequence btw...no words just actions, and conveyed perfectly. Not sure if I like drunk Darryl or not...nice stunt gag, though. And it's about time Toby and Nettie made a move...by now-(and I think I can speak for the 3-4 of us here) we're tired of 'prolonged' courtships...get on with it! REMEMBER: LAST SEASON! Oh, and Erin? DUMP THE DICK! I REALLY don't like who/what Andy's become...and he used to be one of my favorite characters. They've turned him into a whimpering simp, and if he doesn't come back, no prob here. Who's with me? Looking forward to the evolution/devolution of one of my favorite shows (at one time...maybe still) ever.

I agree on Andy. His naivete when it comes to Erin was endearing at first but now it's just frustrating. And he abandoned the office. What's Wallace going to think of all that? I'm hoping/guessing it won't be good.

i see what you mean about dwight and jim, cbg...it's like they have doubled up on the times jim has sacrificed something to help dwight out somehow. i can't imagine what their goodbye is going to be like. maybe they'll make out, or something.
is ed helms out making a movie? hangover 9 or something like that? but i tend to agree - he's been far too much of a pissy douche this season. i liked him better when he was just a sweet goofball. and YES - i can't believe in one episode angela was trying to get oscar killed and now it's like it never happened. weird. it can't be over, though.
that wasn't mose?? how could dwight use anyone but mose? i haven't really picked up on the new warehouse guy since i have been missing shows - for some reason - but that was a good eye, catching the black makeup on his neck.
i just liked drunk darryl because every time you saw him he had that big punch bowl in front of him and was talking about meredith being hot. i couldn't not like it.

Okay...I just watched the missing piece...
"The Target"
What can I say but...YAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWNNN!
A few good points:
"No panties...no vigilantes"
The closing call-back to Dwight's 'Q&A Session' with Toby.
Erin seeing the possibilities.
Did you see how the "New Jim" fulfilled his role?
Pam's unfortunate "complaint", and her growth at being 'okay' to mess-up.
Dwight's wisdom regarding the fact that Angela cheated first.
Dwight's 'friend'.
On another note...I've never liked Oscar. He has always been a whiny malcontent as far as I was concerned...having him 'dealt with' would have been a highlight...c'est la vie.
While the episode provided no real insight, it did confirm to me that Jim's venture into entrepreneurship is doomed, and that Erin sees a lot more to like about "New Jim".

dwight's friend was the best part, imo.
yeah, oscar has been hit or miss with me. i do like it when he gets all spluttery over the idiotic things that happen around him sometimes, and he says something funny every now and then - "i guess besides having sex with men, the finer thing's club is the gayest thing about me" - but this affair with the senator has brought him down in my eyes. no one really likes angela, but he's worked with her for years and it was just wrong.
why do you think jim's new venture doomed?

Because of the attitude of the guys he's invested with...the problems that are coming up, and how he's being edged out of decisions that are being made. It just doesn't feel like this is HIS idea...? I would think his 'friend' who wanted to expand on it would want Jim to be a 'part of' instead of the fifth wheel they're treating him as.

that makes sense. like i said, i've missed a few eps, so i wasn't sure how that was going. i do remember that meeting where he invested more money than pam wanted him to, just to sort of assert himself as part of the group. i thought it was his idea though - maybe he will finally stand up for himself and defend that. grow a pair, jim!

DAMN! How could I have forgotten...?!?
In "The Target" When Dwight takes Angela to meet his "friend"...
"Are we alone?" "Well, there's this documentary crew that's been following us around for about nine years now, but I don't see them."
The fourth wall is falling.

i loved the ep a couple of weeks ago when pam brought lice into the office and let meredith take the blame for it. i like stupid episodes that aren't concentrating on where jim and pam are or where erin and andy are, etc. i loved how desperate pam was to keep everyone from knowing - how erin took charge in dealing with the lice - everyone's heads covered in mayonnaise...and meredith shaved her head! either they did the best bald wig ever on her, or she really shaved her head. cute ending with pam and meredith in the bar together. and you know how they say couples start to look alike after a while? in that scene, pam looks at the camera with the perfect jim face. it looked more like jim than jim does. this week's show - pretty funny at times. how awesome would it be to work at a place that could just blow everything off for the day to try a bunch of different flavors in the new espresso machine? i loved how riled up everyone got. i cracked up when they started ripping up the carpet and then just left it. but darryl's interview was the best. best moment of the show. erin with the pens...funny - that was more like vintage erin. dwight junior is back! he was with jan!?? how did i miss that? i loved his outing with dwight...painful at times. but pam is seriously pissing me off. i know these aren't actual real people or anything and i should just relax, but if she convinces jim that they need to stay in scranton, i'm gonna hunt her down. she has turned into such a pill. and that's the first time i've ever called anyone a pill. jim has obviously found something he loves and is good at and she's gonna queer the whole deal by whining about their "friends" at the office. get over it, pam!
