Don't think Toby's going to be back, at least in the short term as the guy who plays him has just had a kid so that looks like the reason he left. He was a writer as well so he's a big loss if that's the case. Hopefully I'm wrong though as Toby is a great character and the dinamic between him and Michael will be missed.
Oh and the spinoff now appears not to be an actual spinoff, just another project from the same people. Again need to wait and see if that's the case or not.

As far as the spinoff goes, I'm a little disappointed they're going with Amy Poehler. Just not a really big fan. I could certainly live with Rashida Jones, though. She's already proven she has the chops for this kind of thing.
I'm glad it's not an actual spinoff. That sounds like a super-easy way to spoil the whole thing. I'm interested to see what they do, though.

yeah I've heard that it's a spinoff...it's not a spinoff thing...whatever it is I'm sure it'll be great...but if it's based say in the Utaca office...but still Dunder Mifflin I think that might be interesting
I will say Rainn Wilson at Comic-con referred to it as a spinoff...so take that with however many grains of salt you wish...also the writers at Comic-con apologized for Paul Lieberstien's absence so I think he'll still be there in a writing capacity...and I agree the dynamic of him and Michael would be missed...especially when you take into account that the dynamic between Michael and Holly looks to be extremely different

...be sure to check out the webisodes airing on nbc.com right now...if you've never seen the office this will give you a taste of the show without spoiling anything...although most of the major characters in the show aren't in the webisodes they are true to the style of the show...this year's webisodes center around Kevin trying to get a loan...each webisode is 2-3 minutes long so they are instantly accessible on your computer...no downloading required. "ICE CREAM...GOOOOOOD ICE CREAM." "How much" "Ten dollars." "Gootbye" "ICE CREAM...GOOOOOOD ICE CREAM."

Anyone been checking this out? freejennanow.com/Some pretty excellent marketing for The Rocker! Yeah, I've seen a couple of the videos. The cast seems to support each other's projects when they have a chance, and this seems easy to do and is effective. The Rocker looks right up my alley, hopefully it doesn't disappoint. I'm ready for The Office to return. I've mostly been watching the Olympics to catch trailers for the new season.

Just when I didn't think I could love you people any more than I do.... you go and start an "Office" thread.
You have to understand.... I don’t watch TV. Ever.
But I downloaded all four seasons on PirateBay.org about a month ago and I'm cravin new episodes. I mean, I straight up CRIED when Jim and Pam kissed on Casino Night and I think that Dwight Schrute is quickly becoming my all time hero.
I'm currently downloading the BBC original.
We need to start a BBC Thread because there are SO many great shows we miss out on. Here are a few that are SO worth renting from Netflix
- Young Ones (but I'm sure you all knew that) - Father Ted (written by Graham Lineham, who also wrote...) - The IT Crowd - Big Train - League of Gentlemen (twisted very very very dark comedy) - French and Saunders - AbFab - Bottom

You are so right on those British shows (although Father Ted and the IT Crowd are acyually Channel 4 who made Spaced (the sitcom by the guys who done Shawn Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz) and Black Books (also by graham Linehan).
You should also check out anything by Chris Morris or Armando Ianucci.

Graham wrote the first episode of Black Books and it is still by far the funniest episode of all three seasons! I've been meaning to see Spaced too! I tried downloading it but every time I do it ends up being a file type I can't covert... still trying though. Eventually someone will create a torrent that can be converted on this side of the pond. Did you know every year in Ireland (can't remember which town) they have a 'Ted-fest' ... like I needed yet another reason to want to travel there! lol I'm a "mad idjit" for that show! So sad they couldn't continue on. Not sure what other projects Arthur Matthews has worked on since Ted... Big Train as far as I know. Always liked Graham's sense of humor better though.
