whoooaaa. that was awesome. it kind of threw me, because i was expecting it to be heavy on the pam-jim factor. this was totally kevin's finest episode. and he didn't have to do anything different! any scene with he and holly was just hilarious. i particularly loved it when they were in front of the snack machine and she asked him how much money he had - and he just simply held his hand out for her to see. go phyllis! i applauded when she knocked some of angela's things off her desk. she totally deserved that! and catching her with dwight at the end....what a shocker! didn't see it coming at all...SO glad my vcr caught that. i'm just so happy that dwight got laid. and we got to see a brief glimpse of mose again, with the raccoon. brill! i figured ryan would get busted for the cocaine use, not fraud. oscar: the real crime was the beard. funny. and i again applauded jim's balls in the situation. makes me wonder if DM will offer him ryan's position. and michael/jan/holly. whee! i never thought they could find a woman who could honestly be attracted to michael as holly seems to be. she got a good glimpse at how awful he can be - especially in that exit interview - that rock that said "suck on this!" i thought i was going to start crying i was laughing so hard. i just finished watching it - that is why i am going on and on. this is going to be a helluva long summer.

A really great finale setting up some very interesting stuff for next year. Maybe not as good as Season 2's though.

Dwight Schrute: Have you been introduced to Kevin?
Holly: Which one's Kevin?
Dwight Schrute: He's here on a special work program. He's slow, you know, in his brain.
Holly: Oh. Good for you guys.
Dwight Schrute: Yeah.
*************************
Michael Scott: Thanks to Toby I have a very strong prejudice against Human Resources. I believe that the department is a breeding ground for monsters. What I failed to consider though, is that not all monsters are bad. Like ET. Is Holly our extra-terrestrial? Maybe. Or maybe she's just an awesome woman from this planet.
******************
Michael Scott: Today is Toby Flenderson's last day. I couldn't sleep last night. [cuts to clips of Michael dancing around the empty office] I came in extra early, so much energy. There's certain days that you know you will remember for the rest of your life. And I just have a feeling that today is one of those days.

Would you drink a beer/ If you saw it in heaven/ Would it taste the same/ If you drank eleven?

I'm just glad he didn't do Total Eclipse Of The Fart. I'm not even going to try to imagine...

I'm glad Ryan got his.
I was hopeful of Michael making a new start.
Jan's even more of a bitch that I thought she was...I just thought she was crazy.
I'm sad that Andy blew it for Jim.
I'm glad that Dwight nailed Angela again...who didn't see that coming?
Andy is such a tool...nice guy, good heart...but such a tool.

That ending was great. Almost as great as last year's when you saw Ryan get the job!!
What a thing with Jan and the invitro!! What is up with that???

What a thing with Jan and the invitro!! What is up with that??? She is a twisted sister alright. If you look at the deleted scenes for "Dinner Party" you get a better glimpse into her slipping sanity. I think this is just one more bizzare thing that she's come up with to justify her existence. I used to like her, and I even liked her with Michael. When the finally 'got together' they seemed like a nice (albeit weird) couple. Now she's just messed up, and if Michael's not careful, she'll take him down too. I was really hoping for a fresh start for him...with someone who was more like him. But then, where would bet the dramady? Oh, btw, gypsygurl...once again, SMOKIN' avatar.

It seems like Jan took the "date Michael Scott publicly and collapse on myself like a dying star" route. She seemed fairly normal before she began dating him – even sensible – but as soon as they got together it was a steady downward turn for her. Now it's bordering on psychosis.
And I'm not totally convinced that the baby isn't Hunter's. She seemed awfully into him.

I love this show. Without a doubt the best show on TV right now. This last season was kind of spotty...I think they tried to make the humor too broad so as to appeal to a wider audience...but it seemed to finish strong though.
I hope that Toby is back for season 5...he's my favorite character Creed gets wonderfully weirder as time goes by

I just re-watched the whole season and I forgot how good it was...it was a lot darker than I remembered...very cool...it was just those first couple of episodes that left a bad taste in my mouth
...as far as the spinoff goes for those who don't know it looks like Amy Poehler is definitely gonna be in it...and although not confirmed it's assumed Rashida Jones will be in it as well...I always thought she got the shaft she (her character-Karen)was put in the Roy position except she a was good person(maybe a little too career driven but nothing like the potential wife beating Roy...that being said I miss his character just for the tension...but his character had run it's course)...anyway I'm looking forward to season 5
be sure to check out the webisodes airing on nbc.com right now...if you've never seen the office this will give you a taste of the show without spoiling anything...although most of the major characters in the show aren't in the webisodes they are true to the style of the show...this year's webisodes center around Kevin trying to get a loan...each webisode is 2-3 minutes long so they are instantly accessible on your computer...no downloading required
EDIT: as far as British vs. American by the second season the American version had developed it's own personality...I love both shows equally...the British one holds a special place in my heart...it's kind of like a modern day fairytale...it makes me cry everytime I see it...just perfect...beautiful
