Very true. It just pisses me off at some of the other crap they show. Most of the movies they show should be on MST3K. Who want's to watch them un-MST3K'd? Not me. Servo Yeah they show a lot of crap but that's true of every network, cable or otherwise. Seems to work though, that's what the public craves. (said in a smugly superior tone)

I only watched Sci-Fi BECAUSE of MST3K, so now that it is cancled, Sci-Fi is off my favorites list. I would like to see Sci-Fi's ratings drop after the cancellation of MST3K, for if that does happen, I know there is other Msties out there not on this message board.

As much as I love MST3K, I'm not too much against them pulling it off the air. It may be a way to get new episodes somewhere. I agree and said that earlier on this thread. There just wern't enough episodes left on the schedule to keep it going. And I can't be sure BBI wanted to renew with Sci Fi. And it does increase the possibility of someone else showing the CC's

I am kinda like that, but since I am a new fan, and the show went of the air some 20 weeks after I got into it, (which isn't a lot compared to others, by the way) I am mad that I wasn't born earlier so I could watch the show from a earlier date.

Well, that might've just been filler until they can think of something better. I personally don't think that they'll find anything better, but I know that for the few times they chose not to air MST3K over the past years, they'd normally show another B-Movie. I finally saw "Attack Of The 50 Foot Woman" because of one of those.
But I also don't see myself watching much Sci-Fi from now on. Maybe if they could get another show like Farscape, or put some of their current decent shows on at a good time slot, maybe then I'd watch again. But I just don't see the point. I'm not boycotting them through some love of MST3K, I'm boycotting them through my apathy for them now that MST3K is no longer part of their regular showings.
--EDIT-- ACK! Sorry, didn't see the second page. I'll just hang my head in shame and play a sad, mournfull song on the Riot Jukebox.

No MST, no Farscape, no dice. Twice burned, now extra crispy (with added cynicism dipping sauce).
OK I take it back. If I'm home sick from work, they occasionally go on a Godzilla bender, which I cannot resist watching. And I'll catch a bad horror flick for the fun of it from time to time, but I do feel the network is swirling the bowl. I long for an alternative network to fill my needs for horror/scifi. At least AMCs got some decent vintage horror on some eves. One more reality show and I'm gonna be ill.

I kinda wish that "The Chronicle" had worked out on the Sci-Fi channel. That wasn't the best show, but it had soem potential.
What I really want, though, is to see "The Lone Gunmen" again. I thought for sure that they'd have a second season, and that I'd have time to record episodes....but no....

I liked x-files untill Molder left... the show went to crap after that, the idea of sculley suddenly changing rolls to the sceptist, and trying to convince Dogget (that was his name right?) didn't seem to fit her character at all. The only thing I liked about Dogget was his accent. The show then put three conspiracies at once... and then it lost all the little jokes. I'm also bitter about that show because I heard scifi actually cancelled new MST3Ks for that show. It's a great show, but I'd choose MST3K over it any day.

I found myself watching back-to-back episodes of Quantum Leap on Sci-Fi this morning. What a great show. It's about time to get that released on DVD.

This week it's the Dark Backward. It stars Judd Nelson as a stand up comedian who gets ahead in show buisness by having a third arm.
It gets: *
Prediction the timeslot will be taken over by expedentionally worst movies.

Personally I want to see Phantasm I-IV again and again in an endless loop. Only Sci-Fi can do that.

I'm a little late this morning, but Sci-fi's fine MST replacement today was:
The Dark Backward (1991)
SCIFI Feb 14 09:00am Movies, 105 Mins. *+ (Rated R)
Life changes for a garbageman/would-be comic when a third arm starts growing out of his back. Adult Situations; Language; Nudity.
Cast: Judd Nelson, Bill Paxton, Wayne Newton, Lara Flynn Boyle, James Caan, Rob Lowe, King Moody. Director(s): Adam Rifkin.
I can only imagine the great ratings this fine movie drew. If it had two robots and a man stuck in space riffing the movie, the ratings would be MUCH better.

I've been trying to see what exactly Sci-Fi needed to air so bad that they had to get rid of MST3K and, well, I haven't seen a damn thing worth more than 30 seconds of my time. Hell, for two hours in the mornings they show those hellbound infomercials. I'm sure those are drawing more viewers than MST3K. Jeez, sure, they make a little bread when Ron Popeil pimps a Food Genie or whatever but, c'mon, they've got enough money. I swear to God if I see Tony Little pimping the EZ Glide or whatever one more time I'm gonna hurl.

Here's what's on next Saturday, instead of MST3K.
Swamp Thing - 1982 ** 90 mins.
Wes Craven's campy thriller about the outcome of a botched experiment. Louis Jourdan, Adrienne Barbeau. Alec: Ray Wise. Jude: Reggie Batts.
This hasn't been on tv since the last time it was on.
