Interesting interview. Thanks for posting the link, Grady. It's strange how he makes fun of himself and his work [e.g., "...once Gremlins was a hit, I rushed to rewrite Hobgoblins to have puppets. (Wish I had rushed to find enough money to build decent puppets)]," while bragging about his "twisted sense of humor." But, they're using the same puppets for the sequel? The exact same 20-year-old decaying puppets?! Ewwww. And he still had the gold pants the one actress wore? (I almost typed "whore.") Double ewww.

I'am kind of surprised that Kyle's pink shorts were the hardest thing to look for. I guess pink shorts are harder to come by then I thought.

Cool interview. It's always nice to see that the guys behind these movies aren't bumbling idiots, they're guys who wanted to make movies, and so they did, knowing full well what they were making.
His comments about the film school were interesting too. The funny thing is that he probably has had more "success" as a director than those peers of his that "thought" they were making art but were probably making just as MST3K-worthy stuff as Rick.

Should have asked him if he will be submitting his film to RiffTrax for them to do. That would be awesome.
