Any cars you especially like or hate? Growing up in the '80s I was of the "modern-cars-suck" generation, but I'm really liking the new Mustangs. Maybe they don't measure up to the classics: But this is the lame-ass '80s Mustang I grew up with: It's good to see some new, tough-looking, (semi)affordable cars again.

I'm not really a car enthusiast. So long as it's not ugly, it gets me from here to there, and it's made in America, I'm happy. But this is the lame-ass '80s Mustang I grew up with: You know, I think I might have had that car. The first car I had was a Mustang that was bought for $400. It was the car that was impossible to start. Ultimately, my mother handed me down her Cougar that I liked much better. My experience with my Mustang caused me to find much amusement with this clip from The Colbert Report. Video: The Word - Season of Giving @ Colbert Nation

Oh yeah the new Mustangs are awesome as well as the new Dodge Challenger. I like that some companies are going back to a more retro look.
One I hate is the new GTO, it doesn't look like a muscle car at all. It looks like a sedan!!

I love muscle cars. That includes the old Mustangs, but I must admit I loathe the new ones. Same for the new Camaros, Thunderbirds, etc.
My brother had a Maverick, I think a '76 or '78, that I was in love with. A gorgeous deep green color, the same shade as Gamera. I wanted to steal it from him and get vanity plates for it and everything. Sigh.

My first car was a 1978 Camaro with a straight six under the hood. It was absolutely gutless, but it looked cool. I'm not into modern cars quite the same way, though I could sure go for a 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400. Non-convertible. Black. Sweet. Honestly not sure if this is a 400 or not, and it's obviously not black, but it still looks good

The classic Corvettes were what I'd first look for when my dad took me to a car show. This was one of my favorites: But the car that REALLY flipped me out was the Mercedes 300 sl.

I love the car I'm driving now: A PT Cruiser! Blue Pearl. It took some jerk kid who rear-ended me (no comments) in my old Ford Taurus to get me to go out and buy the thing. I'd been wanting one since they came out with it, but didn't want to spend any money until the other thing was run down enough to warrant it. I guess things happen for a reason, heh.

The only modern car that has anything like original styling (not including the retros) is the Scion B, in my opinion. Everything else looks pretty much the same as everything else.
While I am carless myself, in the garage is my dad's old '66 Ford Galaxy 500 Convertible, in a light blue/teal color. It's been garaged for like 17 years now. Soon my brother and I are going to attempt to get it running. The body looks great, but the chassis needs some sand-blasting from all the rust (it was an Ohio car). Then it will be a great Sunday cruiser or Parade car, again.
My brother had a '66 GTO in the early seventies that he really regrets selling a few years later. I mean he's super-obsessed with all things '66 GTO related. I've lost count of all the models, Hotwheels, Johnny Lightning & Matchbox cars he's since collected. He's a big E-bay nut, which explains where he found them all. The plan is to get the Galaxy running again, sell it, then look another GTO.
I'll put up some pics of both if I can find any...

If I drove up to myself in this car I'd put out. If you drove up in this car I would assume that's how you'd got it. Honestly, they remind me of Hummers-gas guzzlers designed to make one's winky feel bigger but with a deficit of any other redeeming feature. Now the old ones aren't exactly fuel-efficient, but at least they're complete works of art and improve your standing with the gender of your choice. Like that Corvette and Benz-boy howdy! Those are the kind of car to make a girl squishy!

I was watching Manos last night, and it occured to me the '66 Galaxy in our garage could pass for the featured car in that movie, if I were to paint it a darker blue, and sabotaged the tail-light... Would that get me any play among MST females, if I cruised to a meet-up driving "the car from Manos"

A long time ago, I remember my father taking my cousin and I to one of Toledo's car expos. I think the one attraction I wanted to see was the "RoboCop car"; I'm not entirely sure if it was there or if I did get to see it.

Buick Riviera from the 80's. I still hope for a car since the last one I was about to get got into a minor accident and may not be driveable. I have a License to Drive...but no car. And to make matters worse, I have to pay more to ride Public Transportation!
