Hooray, I got my tickets! My son's coming along. I didn't think he'd be interested, but after seeing the live show last year, he doesn't want to miss this. We were even able to choose our seats, which is awesome. I was worried that if we ran late, we'd be stuck in bad seats.

I'm really excited -- got a couple of tickets a while back and persuaded a friend to come with. Going to the AMC Town Center 20 the first night! Woo!

One day to go! It can't be as good as Plan 9 was, right? But they did do a great job with the Stewardess short...

I have to leave at 4:30pm to get there on time. Other than all the travel I am certainly looking forward to it. Plan 9 was excellent and well attended. Hopefully this will be the same.

I can not wait for tonight....going with a friend, but we have several theaters showing it in our area, so I don't think we will be overflowing with people.

I think the fact that they've joined forces with "Weird Al" pretty much guarantees all shows will be sold out affairs. Al has a strong and rabid fan base of his own. I count myself among them, and they have a thread going on about this event over on his flagship fan message board.

They are repeating the show on Thursday night...
That was good. Wasn't quite the turn-out (or hilarity) that we saw with Plan 9, but Plan 9 is hard to top. One of the biggest reactions? The mention of "Prince of Space"... That Rudolph cartoon was as weird as they come. No wonder it isn't well known.

Prince of Space got the biggest reaction in my theater, as well.
And as creepy as . . . well, ALL the shorts were, really, I don't think anything tops that terrifying stop-motion ragdoll clown in Christmas Nightma- er, "Dreams".

That was one of the best things ever. A cavalcade of inexplicably bizzare shorts with Mike, Kevin, and Bill = what a gift! Blew Plan 9 out of the water for me. Sure Plan 9 is famous, but can it match the nightmare of Christmas Dream or Visit to Santa?
Funny thing is a few of these shorts are childhood favorites of mine! I got two videos of public domain Christmas stuff from the Dollar Store (ah, the cheap wonders of that place) as a kid and watched them every Christmas - or sometimes in the middle of the year when I wished it was Christmas. Christmas Toy Shop, Twas the Night Before Christmas, and Rudolf were beloved to me.
-Didn't mind them ripping 'em to shreds!

The show was fricking AWESOME!!! We didn't have a huge crowd in our theater and we had two obnoxiously loud teenage girls behind us, but the show was great!!! I was laughing so hard I was crying. Great job Mike, Kevin, and Bill!!!
