What I'm about to tell you I Emailed to the MST3K Stellite News a few days after the release of The Matrix: Reloaded and though I thought it was very interesting, they never published it on their website!
While watching Reloaded for the first time I kept thinking I recognized the guy who played one of the upgraded Agents. Finally it came to me. The Agent looked exactly like "The Tool" B-squad Jean-Claude Van Damme-type guy from #1004 - Future War. I went home and got on the internet to verify this and I found out that Daniel Bernhardt from Future War played Agent Johnson (Johnson? poor guy...) in Reloaded. Check out Daniel's bio here: whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/rl_cmp/rl_bios_bernhardt.html, a picture of him in Reloaded here: whatisthematrix.warnerbros.com/rl_img/photo_april_agentsx.jpg (he's the one in the middle, in charge!) and his Future War pic at Sci-Fi's MST Episode Guide here: www.mst3kinfo.com/aceg/10/1004/1004.jpg.
If you'll remember from Future War, Daniel did quite a bit of martial arts (almost too much) showing that he was a skilled fighter. He's in several very memerable scenes in Reloaded: he's the one who says, "only human" before they fight Neo in the beginning, he's the one who (in CGI form, of course) jumps from the cop car onto the hood of the car in the next lane and then jumps off again before the car topples end over end in the big chase scene and fights Morpheus on top of the 18-wheeler. It was great seeing a MiSTied star get such a big part in such a huge film.
Jeremy
MST Fact: It turns out that the movie from the final episode, Diabolik, has a notable cult following and was actually the inspiration for Tim Burton's Batman.
