I never would have figured Morgan as the crossover character. I wonder what the timeline will be? I think they are just running out of things for him to do in TWD. I hope the "plan" they are all "sticking to" ends up being better than it looks at this point.

I would not have guessed Morgan, either, but it does have some possibilities.
What really struck me was how he talked about making the switch on Talking Dead. He sounded very much like a guy who was not going to see the Walking Dead cast and crew anymore. Maybe foreshadowing Morgan's death on the main series? I guess we'll have to find out.
It was a surprisingly slow episode, but not bad.

Also: What's with everyone putting the letter "A" on everything?

Eugene'd better do something incredibly heroic to redeem himself. Maybe that will be the "big thing" everyone will be talking about after the season finale that the producers say is coming. He'll do something no one will expect and save a bunch of people on "our" side and die doing it, or something.
Or, maybe Morgan will die (he's going over to FTWD, after all). Or maybe...
Don't know.
I just hope Rick's side gets a damn win.
When you think about it, our "good guys" seem to be getting far more people killed than the Saviors. Of course, the Saviors had already killed a bunch of people before we were introduced to them, like the men and some of the boys from what was to become Oceanside. Maybe the gals from Oceanside will join the fight next week.

Cooorrrrallll!!!
Okay, NOW what is Rick going to yell whenever he's running? "Juudiithhh!" just doesn't carry the same weight. "Miichooone!" Nope, doesn't cut it, either. This story, to me, was always father and son making their way through an apocalypse. Now it isn't. Even though Carl seemed to be an afterthought lately (probably because Chandler Riggs just couldn't be there for all of the episodes, I think he's going to school or something?), the show won't be the same without that dynamic. I guess it's still that way in the comics? Haven't caught up to what's going on there, as I haven't read them, I was just getting snippets from comments online.
So, anyway, this sucks. Even though, as I've mentioned, Carl wasn't really around all the time. And what happened to that whole Carl/Negan relationship they were going on about? They barely touched on that at ALL. It was like, ONE episode.
I missed the whole Carl getting bit part. I'm GUESSING it was when he was with Sadiq and they were fighting off those Walkers. And did he change his shirt afterwards? There was like a fresh looking bite and his shirt was fine.
Oh, well. The character Carl didn't stir up many emotions for me for it to get any tears going. But the story itself is going to be weird without him. We'll see what they do from here.
BTW: I was REALLY hoping the "big thing people would be talking about" would be that Rick would just beat the piss out of Negan with Lucille. He had that stupid bat for about a second. Darn.

I'm out. I've had it with the piss-poor pacing, what with the lingering on Eugene and Negan for two+ years now, and deviating from the comics (after following lock-step the last few seasons) to kill off Carl as opposed to some of the beloved characters we saw getting brutally murdered last season is too much for me to stomach.

I'll miss Carl. For what it's worth, the bite certainly explained why he suddenly took a left turn and cultivated a seeming death wish. It's messed up to think that Chandler Riggs has spent over half his life playing this character. He wasn't always the strongest of the cast, but he certainly was ingrained in the fabric of the show.
I will say that the first show back in the second half of the season should be rather emotional, if it plays out like Gimple was suggesting it would on Talking Dead.

So, almost time and I guess Scott Gimple is out of the picture as well. Maybe the pace will pick up. Since Carl was killed, maybe they will deviate from the comics again and kill off Negan. Maybe Rick will spare him and someone else will kill him. I DO want Rick to beat the piss out of him, though. Maybe Carol will kill him, that would be awesome. He hasn't even been introduced to Carol yet. Or maybe Morgan. It'll be a reversal. Rick will be thinking to spare a life and Morgan will take it. (I also want Daryl to go all Stallone on a bunch of Saviors).
We shall see what we shall see.

That would also be good. Maggie killing Negan with Lucille. Carol can kill that other guy (I forget his name), Edit: Simon, Negan's second.

Darn. I didn't think I would get emotional for this ep, but - I did.

Yeah, they hit us pretty hard. Even included a Bright Eyes song in the beginning, that's cold.
Honestly, I ran hot and cold with Carl over the years, but Chandler Riggs' performance in this episode was outstanding, some of the best I've seen on the series. Show won't be the same without him.

Oh, come ON!! Why, why, WHY do they have our guys continually doing utterly STUPID things? Rick just starts firing at the car, wasting bullets, before he even sees where Negan is? He could've just walked up carefully then just PLUGGED the guy! Arrgghh!! I'm so sick of Negan just getting away unscathed. His car crashes, he gets up fine. He falls through the floor, he gets up fine. He gets a few whacks with the bat, I THINK - did Rick miss every time? Then, he gets the stupid bat back AGAIN. Rick should've just smashed the thing and broke it, then chopped up Negan with the axe.
And who's this frikkin Georgie person? How the hell is she so clean? Where did she come from out of the blue? Is there another community just over a hill somewhere that everyone else on the show missed? She said to Maggie that there weren't many communities like Hilltop, so these three are just driving around trading info for records and food? What are they playing the records on? How have they survived so long? Where are they getting gas? How are they showering? What the holy HELL?
Regarding last week's ep: Wouldn't any drugs and medicine they find now be expired?
And what about the cockadoodie helicopter Rick saw some episodes back?
AAAaaahh!!
What's going ONNNN!!!
This is becoming as bad as a MST3K movie.
Will Jadis hand Negan over to Rick do you think? Can SOMETHING go "our" way!
