I can't believe none of you mentioned the superhero movies of late.
Batman Forever Batman and Robin
Or my personal pick:
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
LXG would be great, so many continuity errors. Mike and the Bots would have a field day.
And I personally felt that Jurrasic Park 2 was far worse than Jurassic Park 3, but both could use the treatment. Heck, even the first Jurrasic Park would be fun, the movie doesn't have to be bad, it just has to have enough silent moments for riffing. Speaking of which, "Signs" would be GREAT!

A friend just loaned me Monolith Monsters, Cult Of The Cobra and Queen Of Outer Space "starring" Zsa Zsa Gabor. I tried to riff them but damn did I need some bots!

I thought of two more: How about either of the Charlies Angels movies, they're basically ANGELS REVENGE but in the 90's right?

Almost any movie based on a video game is ripe for riffing.

There's this made-for-cable movie called Strays that occasionally pops up on the Sci-Fi Channel. It's about a group of feral cats terrorizing a suburban household. Lots of riff material here. There's this one part where the head evil cat is trying to get at the mother and daughter, and he knocks out a panel of the bedroom door. Then we see this furry face yowling at them through the hole in the door. It looked so much like that scene with Jack Nicholson in The Shining that I could almost hear Tom Servo say, "Heeeeeere's Fluffy!" But he wasn't there, so I said it. Somebody had to!

I think that the best types of movies to riff are Westerns.

There's a cheap independent "artsy-fartsy" flick called "Love God" (The recent '90s one). I saw this dubbed in Russian on some channel that shows "indie" movies. Man, this movie was so horrible, I stopped watching it halway through and the thought of this movie gives me nightmares! It's WORSE THAN "MONSTER A-GO-GO" OR "MANOS"..... well, in my opinion. Awful! Awful! If you want to know its plot, don't bother asking me. Just type "love god" in the search button on imdb.com. This movie was very cheap, so Best Brains Inc could buy the rights to it and make fun of it, if the show returned. Love God is a great and intelligent movie.... FOR TRIUMPH THE INSULT COMEDY DOG TO POOP ON!

I recently saw Gothika with my parents. I had a laugh. My parents told me to stop, after a while, though. Also, Bring it on should be riffed. I did it. My friend told me to shut up.

A lot of these movies SEEM like good choice but have you really thought about it. Will the gang on the SOL have enough to work with? In most cases yes. But most comedies won't work, it takes EXTREME hatred towards a movie to do that. Another big thing is will there be enough pauses? You don't want too much to work with. I've watched Eegah uncut (right before I watched the MST3K episode) and I could tell this was perfect MST3K episode. When I was doing my fanvid, I originally was going to do Plan 9 from Outer Space but there weren't enough pauses to get every sentence in and really many riffs, so I dumped that and went with Godzilla vs. Monster Zero.
So next time when you suggest a MST3K episode think does it have enough dialouge? Does it have too much? Rather than the first bad movie off the top of your head.

I SAW THAT FLASH GORDON MOVIE ON THE LOCAL UPN STATION RECENTLY! a friend pointed it out to me. yes....he called me up, said turn on channel 9, and well, "go ahead and choke on your own anomosity." yes, his own words. I nearly drove down to his house and choked him. The new Walking Tall movie is so trite predictable, I was having a hard time keeping my laughter to myself. THE ROCK!
