I cant stand how people call this film anti-Jew. Why would it be? It's historically accurate tha the Jews took Jesus before Pilot and had the Romans kill him. Also, JESUS WAS JEWISH!!!!!!!! It's all bullpoopie. It's like saying Schindler's List was anti-German. No, it's not about anit(place your race here), it's about history. I feel your pain and agree completely. They're worried that these fools around here are going to have anti-Semitic feelings after this movie and commit violent acts. They think it's going to be so bad that they have counselors outside the theaters. So, so, ridiculous! Servo

I have a hippie-ass teacher who I got into a huge arguement with. I also don't go to church (but I should) a if you read my opinion earlier on, I said the exact same thing.

Well, I dont know about church...it's nice and all, and brings people close together, but I don't like it there that much. Plus, I dont want to be known as Catholic, Lutherin or Mormon (excuse the speilling errors), I just want to live by the way of Jesus. Be kind to people...dont kill anyone....dont steal...love your neighbors as you love youself...dont hate.... etc... Though technically, I'm Catholic...i dunno. Church aint my thing... Ditto.

No, it's not about anit(place your race here), it's about history. I agree but the problem is that some foolish people just won't accept history as what it is and want it changed just to fit how they see it.

I want to see this. I am standing undecided until I do.
Did you hear of the woman who had a heart attack and died while watching this film??

Yes. Four people died watching Star Wars the Clone Wars and five died watching Lord of the Rings the Two Towers. Awesome. (Sorry. I like stuff like that.) I think a guy died and/or hospitalized while watching Pulp Fiction for something. I don't know.

Not really. It's just interesting when stuff like that happens. And Spontaneous Human Combustion. I am fond of things like that.

I thought that science proved it a near impossibility.

I thought that science proved it a near impossibility. Yeah. . . but there has been reports on it since the 1800's. Even though it seems impossible, it still seems to happen.

In regards the the gore aspect of the film, i'll only say this:
The truth isn't always pretty.

I agree with you guys that it's silly to protest a film, no matter what it's about. It'll just be free publicity, which this film definitely doesn't need any more of. Mel Gibson is certainly entitled to make a movie about whatever he wants, just as we are all entitled to see it or not. I'm not going to get into the historical accuracy of the film, because 1. It's based on the Bible, which is not considered an accurate historical record in general, and 2. All the people in the film seem to be white, which, even if any of the story were based on fact, would not be the case.
Anyway, I'm an atheist, and I'm not really interested in "religious" movies. But vive la difference!
