This is incredibly embarrassing to talk about, but over an extended period of time, I pretended to be a real person in order to create emotional relationships with all of you. Together, we maintained what you thought to be an authentic relationship by communicating frequently online, and you grew to care deeply about me. I know that to realize that you were the victim of what was apparently someone's sick joke and constant lies was, and is, painful and humiliating. To think that you shared with each other the happiness about our relationship and details that you thought to be true about me just makes me sick. I hope that others can understand how trying and confusing this whole experience has been for you. In retrospect, you obviously should have been much more cautious. If anything good comes of this, I hope it is that others will be far more guarded when they engage with people online than you were. Fortunately, you have many wonderful things in your life, and I know you're looking forward to putting this painful experience behind you as you focus on preparing for the NFL Draft...or, you know, whatever.
