Best scene I've seen in years. But it's all because I've come to love Kim after watching her for 5 years and she really could have gotten killed right then and there. Incredibly tense. It looked like Lalo was actually respecting her. Even though part of him may have wanted to slap her (or shoot her) the other part was like: Hmmm. She makes some valid points, dammit. I could use someone like her.

I could use someone like her. I think a lot of it is that Saul had bullet holes in the car but he still got the money there. He didn't steal it. And the fact that someone told where the drop spot was is more dangerous to him than Saul is. There's no point in Saul telling anyone or shooting up his own car. He's got an inside problem. Saul and Kim are lesser problems and still might be useful to him.' And damn, where can I find a woman like Kim? I don't care about the looks, although they're great, its the fierce loyalty, etc.

Soo ---- Is Jimmy bad for Kim or is Kim bad for Jimmy? Is she testing him to see how far he goes or is she really itching to take Howard down for the greater good and cheap thrills? Damn, girl, with the finger guns - your guy is still PTSDing over real guns he just had pointed at him. Seems we don't know Kim's inner workings too well. Makes one wonder why she started hanging out with Jimmy to begin with. Was she reading him correctly from the get-go and just didn't care, 'cause, well, that's also how SHE rolls? She wasn't being naive or duped by him, she knew right away what he was. Maybe SHE was the one who got Jimmy to regress to his Slippin' Jimmy days and ways while he was working in that mailroom. Maybe Jimmy WAS starting to turn around and then Kim came along and got him craving his slippin' fixes again. She always puts these little suggestive hints in his head, oh so subtly, like "okay, I don't think you should REALLY do this, but wouldn't it be awesome if you DID???" It's like she was living vicariously through him, and then finally had the stones to start doing it herself like she always wanted. She still seems like a good person, like I think she genuinely wants to work as a lawyer to help people, and it's only the rich, elitist snobs and corporate jerks she wants to take down. But she kind of seems like she's using their greed and corruption as an excuse to be "kinda evil." And fierce loyalty is right. She absolutely HATES it if anyone bad mouths Saul/Jimmy. So curious to see how and where her character ends up. I hope she doesn't meet some gruesome fate. I hope she actually was working in the background in BB and we just didn't see her because it wasn't Saul's story. I hope "Gene" meets up with her in Nebraska (can the whole Nebraska thing be a coincidence?).

There are a couple of table reads of episodes from the cast up on YouTube.

Oh, wow. I had completely forgotten that Johnathon Banks (Mike) had been on Wiseguy. It's an old show from late 80's, early 90's. It's on that channel Z Living (MST3K is also on that channel). I had also forgotten how utterly hammy and cheesy the acting was from early 90's cop shows. I used to watch this and like it. Doesn't hold up very well.
Acting on things like Better Call Saul is so much grittier and realistic. Holy sh*t. What a difference.

Sixth - and final ( ) - season starts on April 18th. It's 13 episodes instead of the usual 10. The first two air back to back on the 18th, then weekly until the 7th ep. The season is split and the back 6 air starting July 11th, I believe. Interesting to see where they take this and how it ends. Saul can be a douche but he also has redeemable qualities, so I hope his fate is a more positive one than Walt's. And I hope Kim ends up still with him (or with him again).

I wonder what Kim's endgame is with Howard? What's she going for here?
When they got the Kettlemans involved again, and she ripped into them saying, "You don't know what loss is", was she just scaring them and saying they could lose so much more if they didn't cooperate, or was she speaking from experience and hinting at something she herself went through? She really seems to have it in for the "haves" who have cheated their way to the top and stepped on people to get there. Interesting to see where her story ends up.
Intense ep with Nacho's and Lalo's stories.

Kim's speaking from experience. What experience, I have no idea but she had something traumatic happen to her.
I feel sorry for Howard. He's not a bad guy. He was born on third base and thinks he hit a triple but he seems to be a person who goes by the rules and doesn't intentionally hurt people. There are a lot more evil people in the world. Kim's hatred is deep to hate someone as ordinary as Howard.

As far as we know, Howard is ordinary.

As far as we know, Howard is ordinary. This is the last year of the series. The point of the show is the transformation of Jimmy into Saul. It wouldn't make sense for Howard not to be ordinary. Kim's obsession must be against a fairly normal guy in his situation to have the right affect.

(I guess anyone reading this thread would expect spoilers anyway but, just in case).
NOoOooo! I was hoping they were going to fake Nacho's death, but I guess that would've been impossible given the circumstances. I liked his character, dammit. I wonder how they will fit in Saul's scene from Breaking Bad when Jesse and Walt take him to the desert and he says something like, "It wasn't me! It was Ignacio!" when he was wondering if Lalo sent them. I don't remember what the timelines are between the two shows.
