How dare you say that about the A-Team!
Oh, wait. The A-Team did suck.
You're right. Sorry I blew up like that.

You know last year that Niptuck series scared the crap out of me, made me feel a dirty...I tried watching on episode just to see what it was like, when the boy decided to circumsize himself, it went too far for me. I liked Who's Line is it Anyway, that um I love the 70's/80s was good I thought, but now that I think of it, those were the only shows that I really liked, otherthan that I only watched reruns.

I hope people get tired of reality TV soon, because I'm sick of seeing it. I gave up on network TV over 10 years ago and most of cable recently. I agree the reality TV craze is horrible. I used to watch the Hitler Channel....excuse me....the History Channel regularly, but even they have suscumbed to the reality craze with that old marine sgt. explaining all sorts of weaponry. I think one of the reasons it's so popular as a genre is it probably doesn't cost a lot to produce reality TV shows. The sets are minimal or non-existant and you don't have to pay a lot of "talent" to make them palatable for the masses. I have one friend who is obsessed with getting on one of those shows to the exclusion of all else! Feh! I am still catching up on MST3K episodes I've never seen so that takes up most of my time in front of the TV.

The two biggest trends on TV: * Hire-people-to-change-my-house, or chop-shops * Reality TV Yeeaarrgghh!! The whole change-my-house trend drives me to drink. And not just low-carb beer, neither. Trading Spaces is Mrs. Sampo's favorite show and it makes me want to go on a killing spree. Killing baby seals and whales, I mean. Not people.

Killing baby seals and whales, I mean. Not people. LOL!! That's great, Sampo-I feel the same way about those shows-I just can not get excited about someone else's home project. Maybe if there were really good ideas for re-doing parts of my home, but I usually see crap on that show, before AND after. But then I don't claim to be an expert on these things....in fact, I live in a foldable teepee out back of a rest area off HWY 10....

Personally I'd rather get a lobotomy then watch another epiosde of any redecoration show. Actually come to think of it that's probably the only way I'd enjoy one of those shows.

What a modest proposal... Brilliant, lemmin. I believe that deserves special mention in the "Smart riffs" thread. I salute you.

Geez, you people are really nitpicky and pyschopathic about current trends in television. I watch Comedy Central the most and they have bearable stuff to watch. I like Monster Garage and American Chopper too. I too hate reality shows but I don't think they are the downfall of televison, Lifetime and Oxgen and Soapnet are way worse! It's ok to put your brain on the shelf once in a while, just make sure you don't pour Mountain Dew on it. P.S. DVD's aren't great either, they produce more crap than greatness.
